I saw Wallace. Superior scorer/defender/rebounder.

Diaw seems like the superios passer, but I'd take Wallace almost everywhere else. Of course I'd take either of them on the Lakers in a heartbeat

Diaw has an all around better game I think... but Wallace is a good interior blocker isn't he? Not bad offensively either.

I'd take Wallace. Diaw only looks good because of the system he's playing in while Wallace has always been a good player.

I vote Wallace-more athletic, brings a great amount of energy

Diaw is a great passer and has great court vision though

I rank Wallace ahead of Diaw in pretty much every facet aside from handles/playmaking. Am I missing something?

Diaw. Wallace gets by being a great athlete, while Diaw is more sound fundamentally and has high hoop IQ. Diaw is also no slouch himself.

Both these guys are great and are not one dimensional. I put Wallace because he can score, and gets over two blocks AND steals per game. The only advantage Diaw has over wallace is passing.

Wrong. Wallace is a far superior rebounder and scorer.

Rebounder maybe, but scorer?

I think Diaw is far better offensively with his jump shot not being as bad as Wallace's, ability to drive to the basket, and create for teammates and deliver the right passes.

Wallace is obviously far more explosive but then he's also been prone to get injured more.

Wallace is a better inside player because of his athleticism. Diaw plays center against teams with weak centers. Believe me, Diaw wouldn't survive against Yao or Shaq.

Diaw is slowly developing a 17ft jumpshot while I think Wallace is more of an attacker. Wallace is a better rebounder, and I think Diaw's stats may also be inflated playing in Phoenix's system with a lot of 3s, and long rebounds helping him in the ORPG category. Defensively, Wallace dominates Diaw.

Ball handling and passing goes to Diaw easily though. It's scary how similar most of their stats are.

Diaw also is playing alongside Nash, who can make anyone look good. Plus he's playing on a very good team. Wallace, on the other hand, doesn't have the luxury of playing with the reigning MVP and arguably the best pure PG in the league. By the way, I've always liked Wallace's athletic ability, the knock on him was his inconsistant jump shot. Didn't the Kings left him unprotected in the expansion draft and that's why he ended up with the Bobcats?

If I heard correctly, Diaw is playing center and guarding Duncan tonight!

Diaw.

Don't let the Suns fool you though. Diaw is not a good C defender from what I have seen.

They need to play him at PF/SF. Center position should go to a guy that can anchor the defense. Then they would actually be a championship team IMO.

If Amare comes back at 80-90% of his former self, If I were the Suns I would trade Marion in the summer for a true Center. Even if he only averages half the points - but someone that can actually anchor that Suns defense.

That's what Kurt Thomas is for. He'll be back next year. He's a known post defender who can rebound. Why would they trade the next KG for an average center. And I say average because unless their getting Ben Wallace or Yao Ming that center is average - yes even Shaq. The original plan was to have Thomas at center, Amare at PF and the Matrix at SF. Best front court in the league - in my estimation. Add Nash, Raja, and Diaw and they are a top two team next season - maybe this even this year.

Well I'm assuming they can trade Marion for a Tyson Chandler or something.

Something like Marion for Tyson+Gordon

That would be the sort of deal I would if I were the Suns. I mean with or without Marion they would have the offense.

What they need is the defense. That's the only thing stopping them (again assuming that Amare is still a dominant scorer)
