People R going to discuss trade scenarios all the time. But I agree on that _________________ The Kings are unbeaten in 10 home games since Artest's arrival, beating opponents by an average of 16 points per game. The Kings have won 14 of their last 18 overall, with their opponents' scoring average and shooting percentages all dropping sharply. |

Are you (bleep) kidding me? I would take Manu over Odom any day every day of the week. Saying Manu falls like paper is great but that's what you want if he's on our team. Manu at least plays balls out. The only thing is he's injury prone because he does play that way. This trade would never happen though becauase there's no sense in the Spurs doing this trade anyways. |

No way in hell the spurs would trade Manu Ginobili for Odom.
I am as big a fan of LO on here as any, but the Spurs would seriously laugh at this deal. Manu Ginobili is one of the handful of players in this game who are able to raise their play several notches for the playoffs. If any of you missed it last year, he was unbelieveable with his play in the entire postseason and may have made one of the clutchest performances ever on the world's biggest stage (the finals) against one of the best d's in history (detroit) in the 4th quarter of a game 7.
He saved Duncan's butt and should have been final's mvp.

In the past three years, Manu has won two NBA champsionships and an Olympic gold medal. I hate him and everything about him, but I can't deny that he outclasses Lamar on the court in every way. No way would this trade ever happen. Why is this even a thread? |

yes. he and Kobe would be nice together. Manu is a maniac w/out the ball. Can shoot, and can carry the team for stretches _________________ Lakers Tickets |

In trade scenarios at least pick up a position that we need. What is Manu a SG? How about a Center, a PF or a PG. Let's just trade to trade. We don't need to think if it is something we use. _________________ "It's all about the beer" |

Is your mom a MILF? I'd be willing to work ou a trade for a 1954 Studebaker and some parting gifts....
But Manu would not be nearly as valuable to the Lakers as he is to San Antonio. anu is at his best when he's able to freelance a bit and that style doesn't fit the Tri very well. Also, flops are a big part of his game and if he flopped as a Laker he'd get the Vlade treatment from the refs. When Vlade did his flopping as a Laker the Refs would just look at him with this perplexed look like "What's the foriegner doing on the floor? Doesn't he know that we're under strict orders from the league office not to five flops to the Lakers" It would be much different than playing for the league darling Spurs.
Also, Manu would be coming off the bench, so we'd be trading a starter for a bench player. Not good. Manu would not be near as proficient a rebounder as Lamar and would only add a few more points. Manu is great, but not a good fit along side Kobe on this team.. _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. A Streetwise Smart Bomb, Out of rehab and In denial. hmm... this didn't seem to be LO's line against Ginobili the other night... Odom for Ginobili would be a steal for us, but the Spurs would NEVER do it. _________________ -

My point was that the Spurs would have forced the ball into Lamar while Manu was guarding him. As a result he would have scored a lot, commanded a double team and dished, and snatch boards like he always does. |

I would trade Odom for Parker, but not for Ginobili. I would, however, be tempted by Ginobili & Horry or (even better) Ginobili and Nazr.
Smush/Ginobili/Kobe/NazrORHorry/Mihm
That's a faster lineup then we have now. With two strong scorers and good defense. They could run and cut with the best of them. Strong bench too, especially at 4. |

Just not for our team. | O RLY? Maybe in soccer or rugby! Seriously, do you really believe that Manu is the better OVERALL player? Could he do what he does without a Duncan down low? If Brian Cook was his PF and Kwame Brown was his C, co you think he could still run rough-shod all over the paint? |
Hmm, I do remember Manu dropping 29 on the us at Athens, and was the third leading scorer in the tournament behind Pau and Yao Ming at just under 20 a game.
And yeah, he went 9-13 and got a bunch of layups, quite a few on Odom and Duncan I might add : P
And whose gonna forget his 22-5-5 average against Detroit in the 2005 Finals.
As for rebounding, not to mention deflections, he is better than a certain Kobe Bryant on a per min basis... |

I actually like Manu.
My Suns-fan pal and I talk about that alot.
We HATE the Spurs.
Bowen and Parker are at the top of our hate-list
Duncan we both think is bland and we're kind of indifferent towards.
Ginobili is the one guy we both like alot.
I'd take him on our squad for sure, especially in the tri for a tall-guard
at the 1.
But for LO? No way.
Big for small - and I'll leave it there, cuz I have more reasons, but that
alone makes it silly. |

Never. RU kidding? No way. Can't stand that woman. He's a floppin piece o crap and flails like a girl when there's the slightest bit of contact. Really disgusts me. Lamar is a a big and he'll be alright if his confidence can't stay up. Can't afford to lose his presence in the middle, boards, etc.
