good job guys monitoring the remaining games and schedules...seeing as how the hornets just won't die (2 OT win) and the kings and jazz seem to be keeping up with every laker win, we'll probably need to win more than half our games and have other teams help us out to guarantee our playoff appearance.. |

A 5-2 or even a 6-1 record for the last 7 games is not impossible for this Laker team. And if they end up against the suns in the 1st round, I expect them to push the suns to 6 or 7 games.
If they get through then an.
Wow, somebody at the NBA's scheduling office must really hate rednecks. The kings play against Mavs, Spurs and Clips. That's what I call "saving the best for last". |

Updated for 4/2 games.
Lakers should get some separation tomorrow night from the teams behind them as the Hornets play Detroit, the Kings play Dallas and the Jazz play San Antonio. _________________ <-- My avatar is Margaret Nolan from one of the Carry On films. These next 3 games can tell us very well how they will compete in the playoffs, 3 good teams that a currently above us in the playoff list will make a good ruler to measure up with.
The back to back game against the Suns will be though.

Nice night for the Lakers. They got help all the way across the board with Minny, Houston, New Orleans, Sacramento, and Utah all losing. If the Nuggets could have held on to beat the Clips, that would have made it even better. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

Idiot Spurs can't even beat Sacto at home after they just got demolished by Dallas last night.
On the bright side, Golden State has crawled back against New Orleans and has a 3 point lead. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

Updated magic numbers for April 6th games. See page 2 or click here
Basically nothing has changed. The earliest clinch date got pushed back a day to the 10th. Tough one in Denver. They came out rusty in the first quarter and got way down, but otherwise played well. For the 11th game in a row, held an opponent under 100 points in regulation. And that was after giving up almost 40 in the first 12 minutes. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I'm not sure what you're so pessimistic about. Almost nothing has changed. If the Lakers win 4 of their last 5, they're in. If they win 3, that forces either Utah or New Orleans to have to win all their remaining games to get into the playoffs. The nice thing is that the Lakers don't have to worry about both of them doing that because one of their remaining games is against one another. Really, the Lakers probably only need to win 2 games. Utah has a back-to-back against Dallas and San Antonio coming up, plus a game against Denver. New Orleans still has to play Cleveland, Sacramento, and Phoenix. Plus, like I said, they play each other, so that's an automatic loss for one of the two. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

I'm starting to gain some confidence in our team... I think some teams are afraid to meet us in a playoff series... I think we could surprise people. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing. It is as ephemeral as love, disappearing at the latest insult.".... Phil Jackson |
