Looks like the Memphis has the easiest road. But I think the Lakers can catch them.

12 vs Phi
14 vs Bos
17 vs Den
19 vs Uta
21 vs Ind
23 vs LAC
24 at NY
26 vs Cha
28 vs Sea

We're a game and a half behind these guys. They have the playoff spot we want. I think we could take it to Denver in the first round if we capture this 6th spot from the Grizz. That's the question. Look at their next 9 games and look at ours.

12 vs Sea
14 at Sac
15 vs Min
17 at NJ
19 at Cle
20 at Bos
22 vs Sac
24 vs Mil
26 vs NOK

I just can't see us catching them. Anything is possible but we would need some luck on our side.

Well there's March and then comes April. Though this year's April isn't as bad as it usually is.

beautiful summary.

home games/road games vs. good/bad opponents.

i think ill take the latter. however, back to backs seem to have as high a significance if not more.

Updated with the results of the 3/11 games. Changed the title a little to make the update clearer. Added how the teams of interest did to the beginning of the post.

Grizzlies have 13 games at home.

I expect them to win 45 games. The Lakers will probably have to win 13 more games to get a 6th seed. The Clippers should also win around 45-48 games.

With the schedule ahead - 13 more wins is possible - but this team hasn't played that consistently all season.

Me personally I think I rather face Dallas and then SA than Phx.

Phx is just too much offense for this team to handle. Dallas has been dominated by Kobe twice and the Lakers have a 2-1 record against them with 1 win on the road.

I don't know - I think I rather have 8th than 7th.

Optimal is 6th but I don't see how the Lakers get that spot with these silly losses to teams they should be beating (Atlanta, Charlotte, Portland x 2, Seattle etc)

Just curious WP_
Why should we beat Hawks,Seattle? They have more talent top to bottom. Scheme or not, if we truly dont grasp the O and D then we are too without a complete scheme. Player to player, outside of Kobe absolutely trumping all, those teams are better

Kobe is better than Johnson
Odom is better than Harrington
Mihm is better than Zaza
Parker is better than Lue

The only advantage the Hawks had is their swingmen. They just outhustled the Lakers.

They are not a better team or more talented. More athletic yes, but they much weaker bigman play.

Lakers don't play with enough energy and dedication at times. Especially at home.

When the Lakers hustle and execute too, they can beat anyone.

I started it, discovered that none of the teams on the list had played and stopped. I have updated it now.

If the Lakers went 11-3 to close out the season, they could still grab that 6th seed.

But this (bleep) team keeps messing up close game after close game
