no doubt..if hes healthy everything mark jackson said at halftime during the pheonix game will be true. Kobe is definitely a better shooter, has better range, finishes just as well as anybody in the history of the NBA around the basket, and has ice in his veins when the game is on the line. He may not be a "lock down" defender a la MJ but he will still step up to the challenge when it comes down to guarding the best SF SG on opposing teams.

Dude, California sucks. Where's the support for the homeboy? There is no argument Kobe will be greater individual player then Jordan by the end of his career.

anyone think ESPN's quick to take down polls whenever they're in the Lakers/Kobe favor?

this morning, was who's the MVP? Kobe won that.
mid-morning, it was "who's the most dangerous underdog?"; Lakers won that.
So, they go w/ "When its all said & done, will Kobe be considered a greater player than Michael Jordan?"

odds are at this point, Kobe'll get a bad showing, and they'll leave it up for days.

its enough to know the question is already being asked.

The debate itself will never end, no matter what happens. The difference will shrink over time.

For now though, I would expect Jordan to be most people's choice.

Not mine though.

Stupid BSPN make a poll so Kobe can get slaughtered nice. Kobe has no chance in that poll because even if the answer was yes the only people who would predict that would be bias Kobe lovers.

I lieu of the fact that Jordan did not have to face a zone defense, and hand checking was allowed(not to mention a lot more physical contact) I can easily see Kobe going down as the all time numero uno BBall player.

'Course that's why MJ has the "lock down defender" title. He wasn't even the best defender on his team.

Why is that? It's a prediction, personal opinion. Kenny Smith said that Kobe is already a better scorer. Does that make him a biased Kobe lover? You're basically saying that your realistic opinion is that there's no way he'll get there. How can anyone be sure of that? Could anyone have predicted Kobe would score 81 points in a regulation game this season?

About 20% of the votes are from California.

Thank you South Dakota and the voter in Vermont.

Yeah, he wouldn't even be able to stop Sasha Vujacic in his prime.

We'll see what the polls say after Kobe brings home a ring this summer, hopefully.
