Memphis and sacramento square off tonight. Were in the 7th spot right now, 2.5 back of memphis, and 1.5 ahead of sacramento who are in 9th. Do we want cusion or should we be looking forward. I myself would like too see, Sacramento win, because i think we take it in ,san antonio late tonight.

*We also play sacramento early next week, so if need be, we have the opputurnity too take care off them ourselves.

Lets clinch the 8th spot then hope to move up.

Plus, Don't we all just Hate the Queens in general and Bibby in particular?

Kings. Grizz have an easier schedule, so a loss here would be better.

We won't catch the Grizzlies. No way. They have the easiest schedule left in the league. Furthermore We are 1-3 against them. We better hope the Kings to lose.

As long as it's mathematically possible, I'm not going to count it out.

Honestly we are not better than last year. It looks like Kobe's super performance hides our weakness well so far. We are still barely .500 team.

Everyone here should be pulling for the Grizzlies.

Heres my thinking...were not even locks for a playoff spot yet. Its foolish to be even be thinking of a 6th seed right now, especially considering the Griz have a notabley easy remaining schedule. When it boils down to it, its gonna come down 4 teams for those last 2 spots - the Lakers, Kings, New Orleans, and Rockets. Any seperation we can create bewteeen those teams will be good for us. The goal is to make the playoffs this year. I dont care if Griz and Clips are ahead...their practically locks in my book for a playoff spot.

Actually it's 5 team. The Jazz. I agree that we should worry about making playoffs first.

Memphis opponents:
Sacramento: Road team has ALWAYS won and one game was without Artest
Philadelphia: They lost to Philly in the first meeting
Boston: Boston has been playing well AND they lost to Boston earlier in the season too
Denver: They lost to Denver TWICE
Utah: They'll probably win this one with the series at 2-1 for Memphis
Indiana: They lost to Indiana, scoring only 66 points in the game
Clippers: Series tied 1-1, wash.
New York: Back2back game against the tough Clips, who knows.
Charlotte: All they are waiting for now is Okafor, but still a gimme
Seattle: Freebie
New Jersey: Road game
NO/OKC: Hornets lead 2-1 AND it's a road game
Atlanta: Funny, they only beat Atlanta by 1 point last game
Golden State: Golden State sucks
Milwaukee: Milwaukee sucks
San Antonio: Road game
Minnesota: Series tied 1-1
Charlotte: Freebie
Houston: Houston is rolling
Clippers: Clippers against
Minnesota: Back2back game AGAIN after a Clips game.

See the other playoffs conteders schedule. The grizzlies have the easiest schedule by far. And they have the tie breaker against us. I think you know what that means.

Yea, we won't be able to catch the Grizzlies unless we finish the season like 15-5. We need all the help we can get to hold back the Kings.

Plus if we lose against the Spurs tonight which could most likely be the case and Kings win...were tied in the loss column. Not good. Again, any seperation we can get from those bottom teams is a good thing for us.

Man 2004-2005 ending was rough for the Memphis Grizzlies. Look at their freaken schedule then

Their last 6 games:
Dallas, Houston, Denver, San Antonio, San Antonio, Dallas

Maybe this is getting something back in return

The other teams don't worry me much, I also think NO is going out playoff contention.

why dont other teams worry you?

I agree the Hornets may fall out of contention...but the Rockets and Kings are rolling. Rox are only 3 games back in the loss column, Kings are only 1 game back in the loss column. Rockets won 7 of their last 10 games.. Kings same wise, theyve won 7 of thier last 10 as well. Lakers on the other hand have been very sporadic all season. We can go on hot runs winning against some good teams, at the same time we can go on very bad losing runs where we lose against horrible teams. Theirs reason to be concerned or worried.

Who remembers us as being a 500 team last year? can anybody recall that? Unless I fell into some sort of dimension lock at some point last year.

The Lakers won 34 games in total last year, and at this particular time last year were 31-29, and lost damned near every game save 3 after that. Now, who really believes the Lakers are only good enough to win three more games this season?
The Lakers are at 32 now... Can this extreme wrong be hung the (bleep) out to dry?!

NO, this team is not as poor as last year. Last year this team had neither Bryant, or Odom for a month so, now how in the name of poor observations can it be no better than last years team?

So tired of hearing that...

OH, and under no circumstances should the Queens be allowed to win!

Bury them MF's! I want to see every one of there collective (bleep) knocked into the dirt...

Either way it's good for the Lakers so I love those types of games. I think probably Memphis just to get Sac off the Lakers back. But then again, advancing closer to Memphis would be nice.

I am a forward looking person so I say Sacto.

They are in front of us and that is what I'm aiming for. If we can finish strong and they collapse (injuries, chocking, etc...) it moves us up.

In another forward looking view:

If we make it to the playoffs in the 8th spot we get a better draft pick than if we make it in the 6th spot. I don't like this view as much.
