No, tonight rests on Kobe.

He's been playing like an injured Allen Iverson the past few games (except in the fourth) and it has now hit the bottom.

8-28

It does not get worse than that.
I've never seen a worse game from an all-star caliber player in my life.

The stats don't tell how much he sucked. He got burnt on D. the 3 blocks are misleading.

Watch the game.

He was getting raped on defense tonight, not boxing out, getting dunked on, getting beaten on alley-oops and getting beaten down the floor.

KB is only human...but a game like this definitely makes MVP a tough sell. I'm sure Ray is smiling, the smug bastard.

There's a dose of reality to bring us crashing back to earth. There is no excuse to lose a game like this, if they cant come out focused for games like this they will struggle to make the playoffs.

Bleep bleep bleep!!! Screw this! I finally catch a lakers game from the comfort of my couch this season and this is what happens? I HATE RAY ALLEN!! and kobe SUCKED tonight
Somehow some way I knew an outcome like this was likely Laker nation was clearly in heaven for a bit too long and we needed to come crashing back to reality. The most frustrating part is that this game was very winnable. *Sigh* THe tribulations of a young team..
well now that that's clear. Who do we play next?....

There was no need for Kobe to launch 13 3's this game. Usually when he launched 10+ 3's... we're heading towards a loss.

This game was not played all-year-long; it was played today, 12:30 PM PST.

2-13 from threes.
2-7 in the fourth.
1-6 in the third

Need I go on?

29 shots for 22 points. Luke was perfect from the field. Sasha shot a high percentage. Lamar had 21 points on 9 shots. What's even worse is people can now look at Dwade's play before the Lakers game and make a judgement. Kobe was just garbage tonight. Probably had a fight with the wife...

And we have no post players on this team capable of putting up those type of numbers... so I'll take his garbage....

Maybe we'll see more Bynum...might end up being a net positive as long as we still qualify for playoffs, and Mihm is back for them.

Not having Mihm is going to hurt... Bynum and Ronny are going to have to pick up the slack... Get well soon Mihm!!!!

Well now Kwame is going to have to play heavy minutes at center. I'd say we're not likely to make the playoffs.

We're still in the driver's seat for playoffs.

One positive is that Kobe won't shoot 30% often, while hopefully the production we're seeing from the rest of the team can stabilize.

We shot nearly 60% ourselves tonight subtracting Kobe's shots.

This is just one game, and we'll bounce back.

Plus, we're about to see a lot more of Bynum, and personally I think that will make us stronger for the playoffs, though only if Mihm will be back for them.

Heres a better stat since you like #'s. We are virtually 500 at home (give or take) we are virtually 500 on the road(give or take)

We have been virtually 500 all year. This stat hold up whether Kobe, LO, Smush etc. goes off. If Kobe goes off luke probably doesnt. We are a 500 team and losing Mihm hurts.

Our talent is garbage. Next game we need to win. RLewis, Wilcox, Rid killed us
