MEM lost even with the AI injury, NOK is losing by a dozen to NJN, and SAC is playing DAL tonight. This would have been a great day to close in on the 6th seed, but at least it's seeming like the status quo will be maintained.
The offense was awesome tonight, but the D was horrendous. I must say I'm glad to see LO with another 20+ pt game, and Smush with another fantastic game. It's all about the confidence at this point.

I keep saying this over and over and over and over and over... but maybe THIS is the game that wakes them up? |

Kobe's offense has been pretty bad in the last 4 games, but the reason they were able to win some of those games was their defense. Their defense kept them in those games, and Kobe hit some big shots in the clutch. Today their defense failed them and Kobe never collected himself in the 4th quarter. The Lakers have the most problems with teams that like to run and gun. Seattles bigs were open under the basket all game.
That being said, it's starting to look like the Lakers chose the right day to lose on. Now if only Sacramento can oblige us with a loss against Dallas tonight. |

Reading this thread title, I thought it was gonna say that Mihm has no fractures or ligament tears in his ankle from his fall. (And that he is not expecting to lose any game action).
Besides, unless LA take care of their own business, nothing else matters. |

yeah but there have been SO MANY games when i have thought "maybe this is the loss or win that wakes them up" and makes then realise how they can play or need to play.....how many do they need?
i think that's what Kobe must have been thinking today |

We need the 6th spot, so, the other teams behind and in front of us lost ??
Guess what, it was a blown chance to gain ground on the Grizz, we need that 6th spot.
With the 8th, its 4 blow-outs and done. |

Denver lost and the Hornets are getting the crap kicked out of them in the 4th. As long as the stars remain aligned and Dallas whips up on Sacky tonite, today was basically non-event. NJ beat NO?
Excellent.
Even if Sacto beats Dallas, we can go in there and seal our own fate on Tuesday.
Tuesday's game is like last weeks game against NO. HUUUUUGE and worth 2 games really. |

yep.. artest is an impact player.
Sac will probably pass us. They are playing very well, artest has given them a post option and raised there defensive level.
We should be able to stay on top of NO/OK though. so its not that big of a deal if we fall below the queens. |

I said after we beat Spurs. EVERY game will be the biggest. Remember, PJ brought it up today. After they went on that great roadie early on they followed it up with 5 L's in a row. W have won 4 of 6. Techncally being a 500 team we could lose the next 2. We had better not if we want post season action _________________ Lakers Tickets |
