What worries me more, are Phil's words, which hold a deeper meaning. It translates, to me, that Kobe was not finding the open man, as he was getting doubled, and tripled... I thought we had begun to solve that problem... ??

We should have been able to take advantage of the fact, that Kobe had an extra man on him. Someone else should have been open, for an easy shot!!

I notice that he didn't talk about the fact that the Sonics scored 120 points on the Lakers and that it has nothing to do with Kobe since the Lakers scored 113 themselves. When it is apparent tha his coaching and team preparation is bad, PJ always trys to defect the blame for a loss to someone else. I'm sure Kobe's bad shooting caused the Lakers to score only a measly 113 points.

Kobe's shot selection didn't really help the situation. But as mentioned on other threads, the Lakers don't play D against teams they don't respect.
