What Snaq did to Jermaine ... is equivalent to a punch in my opinion. He choked him, grabbed his throat. If you walked up to someone on the street and choked him like that, you'd get yourself a battery charge.
In fact, Shaq did MORE to Jermaine than Haslem did to Jermaine or vice versa.
He should get the mandatory 2 game suspension IMO. |

That'd be funny if Shaq tried to choke himself. |

Aint that the truth. Check this out from yesterdays recap from the Hornets game:
Quote: | The Lakers had only three turnovers over in the first 16 1-2 minutes -- all by Bryant, who has played only three games this season without committing one. The Lakers won all three times. Bryant has had a season-high seven turnovers on five occasions, and the Lakers are 1-4 in those games. |
Any chance they get to bash him........ _________________ "The advice I get from Magic, Michael and those guys, that's always sacred," Bryant said. "That's going to the mountain top and talking to Buddha, know what I mean? That's privileged information." |

Just as I thought. A HUGE over-reaction. Man, we affect our own credibility when we b.s stuff just because we hate a certain player. "Shaq choks O'Neal! News at 11:00!" Only he didn't. He looked more like he was just aggressively pushing O'Neal off of Haslem. You know, the stuff your big man is SUPPOSED to do for you... the stuff Shaq use to do to protect our players when he was here. You know, like bich slap Ostertag when he needed it.
What hypocrites we are that now that Shaq is with the Heat, suddenly that type of thing is completely horrid and unacceptable, and how awful is the league for tolerating him, blah, blah, blah. The truth is that I hope our big men react the same way in certain scenarios. |

i agree, although i dont think he actually choked JO, he did more than Haslem. Did Shaq ever get fined for elbowing Bynum? I know he wasnt suspended, but i never heard of a fine later on _________________ "When (Kobe) gets you on life support, he won't give you mouth to mouth. HE PULLS THE PLUG." -stu |

The ambulance chasers are out tonight. I turn on ESPNEWS expecting to see Latrell Spreewell reincarnated and I get Shaq just pushing a guy back protecting his teammate. Gimme a break, people. |

There are a bunch of cranky old farts in here who are shaq asskissers
You don't protect your player by putting your hand on another mans throat...
Is shaq now a referee
shaq should have been taken off of the court for pushing the opponent.. plain and simple - I would say the same damn thing if he was still a Laker. I might applaud him for it but I would expect the referees to do their job and AT LEAST T his fat ass up

EXACTLY.. the fat POS didn't even get a foul called on him when he threw Andrew to the ground with the over the back pogo stick play... and these asskissers in here think we are in the wrong for wanting that loudmouthed POS to be treated the same way other players would be.
Whatever... keep kissin his ass |

I meant to say disgusTING.
And yes, I personally think Shaq should be given a life sentence and not just a technical for all that I think of him. |

MY BAD.. sorry for flying off the handle a bit there..
I HATE shaq and the way he left this franchise talking smack about Dr. Buss and basically calling him cheap because Buss was too smart for shaq to keep stealing from
bleep you shaq and bleep all your fans too... they are dim bulbs |

How about Dwyane Wade?
These days, I've come to hate Wade a lot more. |

I don't really hate Wade .. just the referee marketing machine
I think the NBA is trying to move away from what they did with Jordan.. they hyped him up and only him... they put him on a pedestal like no other ever in history... now they work to create diversity and multiple superstars .. |
