I think with him playing like he is, he can do some damage on the court to Yao.

Even if Yao scorers 40 we still win tonight, I mean look at their starters:

Yao
Howard
Bogans
Head
Alston

Kobe - 6'6 220 vs. Head 6'3 185

Lamar - 6'10 230 vs. Bogans 6'5 215

And Smush goes wild on Alston to prove he's the best streetballer in the NBA.

My first reaction is that it will probably look like Jamaican Man v.s. Kung Fu Chinese Giant...

Our only reprieve would be if Yao still has that endurance problem. Yao is on a hot streak this season... There is another possibility... Maybe, Smush can pick Yao's pocket, as Kwame is keeping him busy...??

Lakers need to push the ball a little more than usual today. Kwame can get some real easy buckets if he hustles down the court b/c he can out run Yao all day.

Considering Yao scored 38 points last game and the Lakers are missing MIhm and Bynum I think Kwame did a good but not great job today.

Most important he did it without fouling and without(for the most part) needing a double team.

Yao got about 6 garbage points for 33 and Kwame scored 10 himself.

Lakers get blowout win, therefore you have to give props to Kwame.

being able to play yao straight up all afternoon, kwame did quite an admirable job.

kwame did a very good job.

Yao was as HOT as kobe was in the 3rd qtr for the first half of the game.

Kwame did a great job of making things difficult and keep himself in the game.

Kwame played good D; it's just Yao is gonna get his. He's the best center in the NBA. I don't think Kwame could hva defended him any better.

Kwame played solid defense tonight on Yao, but terrible at blocking him out.

yao is just playing out of his mind. I dont think any center can defend him right now. Rockets are dumb for not going to him more.

It's safe to say that Yao can't be defended one-on-one. It would have been interesting how we would have defended him if the game was closer.

Kwame did ok. It would have been worse with Mihm.

Atleast Kwame gave up for the most part - jumpers. He didn't give low block easily. That helped.

The key was the 2nd half when they started to double. That is what really broke down the Houston offense as they needed other players to create shots for themselves (and they aren't good at that)

I think Kwame did fine considering he was the only big we had capable of matching up w/ Yao; thereby limiting his aggressiveness

yeah, watching kwame today,he did a great job. you just tip your hat when a 7'6" guy is making jumpers. cant really stop him from making those. yao could get absolutely no post position with kwame guarding him and thats all you can ask. kwame did his job well tonight.
