One thing I'm noticing is Phoenix's great ball movement!!... I noticed that Phoenix did seem to overpass, at one point, but it didn't hurt them, because they kept moving in rhythm, as a team. Everyone gets involved. We need that kind of ball movement, and execution. Our team just kind of loses momentum, if the first, or second look isn't there... Our players just kind of stop, and become statues.
I'll bet it's the influence of Steve Nash, that really makes the difference. Nash has shown Phoenix how to move that ball around, and they do it over and over again, in practice. Everyone gets to "know" one another, and learns how to get into that rhythm... Phoenix looks like a champion this year.
Our team, traditionally, has learned to stop and watch Kobe. I do see some effort to play team ball, but we tend to do what we get used to. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing. It is as ephemeral as love, disappearing at the latest insult.".... Phil Jackson |

Updated Observations: Now, in the 2nd half, Phoenix is starting to wind down... Diaw looks worn out, and is making mistakes, which destroys any team chemistry.
Nash looks like he's on shakey legs... I'm thinking, "Who do they have, behind Nash??" Nash is really the one that's holding Phoenix together. This is the point, where a healthy Amare would put Phoenix over the hump.
Detroit is really pouring on the pressure... Whether, or not, Phoenix can survive this, will really determine if they are championship material.
Phoenix looks good, early, when they're fresh, but the pressure is the test!! _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing. It is as ephemeral as love, disappearing at the latest insult.".... Phil Jackson |
