LOS ANGELES – Adding on to his many other anti-Kobe Bryant theories, Seattle SuperSonics guard Ray Allen reached back for the original Bryant bashing after the Lakers won in Seattle on Friday night: He shoots too much.

"My mentality is not to shoot that many times," Allen said. "I want to get everybody else involved."

Ray Allen is great at getting other people involved, but Kobe is selfish and averages more assists per game. Makes sence right?

Ray Ray's jealousy knows no shame. See, that's the difference between a winner like Kobe and a one-trick pony loser like Ray Ray -- Kobe will do WHATEVER it takes to win.

Kobe may shoot alot, but he likes to win alot..............Patrick Ewing

Seriously Allen can't stand to give props to another guard, especially one like Kobe that has that killer instinct he so desperately lacks. Why don't these guys just play, and just keep us wondering what's on their minds?

I don't know if a guy with a nickname "Ray Ray" can be any kind of man.

........And here i was thinking that Ray Ray wouldnt have the audacity to open his pie hole after his predictions from last year regarding Kobe not only didnt come to fruition but his teams is HORRIBLE and the Lakers are going to the playoffs.

No Ray....

Kobe is simply more talented than you.

My question is, does Ray Allen call the press people up, or do they call him up for these little tidbits?

Good grief Ray Ray!

One thing people don't realize is that it's an ability to be able to take as many shots as Kobe and still maintain a decent shooting percentage. As Ernie Johnson once said, he shoots much because he can, he scores a lot because he must. Ray Allen can only wish that he could get off as many shots as Kobe(without significantly lowering his shooting %).

When is Gay Allen going to learn. Making asinine comments like that about the best player in the game is not good for your P.R.

I see Ray Allen as a player who knows he's not a real marquee player who can lead his team to a championship.

I think he's just on a PR campaign to try and talk his way into the same class as Kobe because I believe Allen's hopes have been reduced to trying to make the Hall of Fame.

I think he's one of those players who have their eye on that prize but realize their accomplishments, and more importantly -- the public's perception of them -- call that goal into question.

By waging this campaign, Allen gets his name associated with kobe's. he's trying to build himself up in the public's eyes by tearing someone else down.

Allen is jealous of Kobe - no doubt about it.

But at times, Kobe does shoot too much. His statement isn't totally false, but Allen isn't one to play much of passing team game either.

Pot kettle black type of comment. Both are SG's that love to shoot. You can't really bash a player for doing what his role asks of him. If they were point guards, well that's another story.

Kobe can NEVER shoot too much, especially with this collection of stiffs.

well lets see here.

ray allen has taken more three pointers than anyone in the leauge this year.

they are both shooting .446 percent on the year, which makes kobe more efficient since he takes more shots.

kobe averages one more assist per game than ray allen does. so much for getting the other guys involved.

but maybe ray was referring to passes that LED to assists? the lakers are 10th in team assists.....the sonics are 18th.

as far as total efficiency...kobe ranks 4th in the leauge in efficiency. ray allen ranks 19th.

kobe has been selected by numerous writers and former nba players as this year's most valuable player. nobody has mentioned ray allen.

perhaps the most important difference between kobe and allen is this statistic:

Lakers: 5 games above .500 and 7th in the west...ready for playoffs.
Sonics: 13 games under .500 and 14th in the west...ready to start regretting that big contract they gave ray.
