Curiously, Dwyane Wade wouldn’t go on record Wednesday confirming Shaquille O’Neal’s account that he sent word to the lockerroom during Game 5 that the Heat needed Wade to return to the court. This wouldn’t be the first time O’Neal has, ahem, stretched the truth. Remember last year when Wade had a bad Game 1 in the Detroit series? A story circulated by O’Neal said he and Alonzo Mourning took Wade out for a late-night drive to clear his head. That, as the story goes, led to Wade’s 40-point performance in Game 2. Well, now it turns out that late-night drive probably never happened. That brings us around to Wednesday. When first asked about the Shaq story, Wade lowered his head and laughed. “I don’t know,” he said about Shaq’s version of the story. ” I just know I’m looking at TV and I saw him get his fourth foul, I saw our team was down five, so I was on my way out. And actually (Heat media relations assistant) Michael Lissack was on his way toward the back and I was on my way out, so maybe it happened at the same time.” |

shaq makes up a lot of stuff - the media is just dumb enough to beleive it.
didn't he once say that he called kobe at 3am in the morning to tell him the next game would go well and kobe scored big the next day.
i'm pretty sure that wasn't true either _________________ "I wish I could draw a picture of the look on their faces..... For a time, it was like he was on the court by himself. It's like God put Kobe here for us to watch him play basketball." - LO On KB8's Performance Against the Clips 07/01/06 |

Are you stretching a bit? How's that tension? If anything, Wade is being humble for not saying, "yeah, Shaq was crying for my help." If wade agreed to the story that yes, Shaq asked for him, then how bad would Shaq look? If anything, Wade downplayed it to avoid tension and rift. |

I don't remember that. But he did say that Kobe called him in the middle of the night before Game 6 against the Queens in 2002 to tell him that the team needed him to be ready to go. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

It's already a well known fact that Snaq is a compulsive liar. Remember his lie about David Robinson. I hated DR for years because of that lie. Snaq later (10 years later) admitted that he lied about it. Unfortunately the medie NEVER holds fat fk accountable for anything. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |

Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael |

i think he is talking about Shaq writing in his book that when he was in high school in Texas, he approached David Robinson for an autograph and the Admiral brushed him off. He claimed he used that for motivation whenever he played against the Spurs.
Didn't Shaq also have to publically apologize years ago for claiming to have slept with Venus Williams and Cindy Crawford? |

Yup, and by the look of it, the media did a good job brushing that lie to the side. Stay Puff admitted I think after DR retired that he just made that up. What a pathetic fool he is. |

My bad, skimmed through the thread without catching that. Actually it makes sense that was a lie, that seems very uncharacteristic of David "Nice Guy" Robinson. |

Shaw always complains about another teammate being a star and that other player always get blames (Kobe, Penny) for being selffish but isn't it weird that this always happens to Shaq? |
