Whoa!

He and I had exhanged PMs from time to time and I immediately picked up (way back when), that he was a very well-spoken and knowledgable person. We didn't agree on a lot of things, outside of basketball... but I always respected his viewpoints. I knew he didn't just jump into an opinion, but instead did his homework and knew what he was talking about, before he opened his mouth.

Lakers' fans just lost one of the best.

God bless his family and those close to him. I hope they find some comfort during this most trying time.

Sad to hear a highly respected poster and fan, both here and at LT, left us for good.

My condolences to his family, friends, and all those who've had the pleasure to know him.

Nice tribute Alpha, thnaks.

I will miss his posts, pms, e-mails and occasion phone calls. He was a Lakers fan longer than anyone I have known. He was articulate on basketball and many other things. He had a love for all and a wry sense of humor that was loved by all. He was a towering man, probably 6' 8" and the epitome of the "gentle giant." He coached basketball at the High School level for years, I believe.

He was having heart problems and was doing his best to follow the docs orders. The last I spoke with him about 5 weeks ago by phone and he called to say he was moving and talked of some neat things happening between he and his son. He is survived by that son and I believe he had several older children who had families and children of their own. He also left behind his lovely wife Karen who he called "Cookie."

My sorrow goes out to Karen, her children, grandchildren and all those who knew Greg.

Say hi to Jill and Chick, Greg. Heaven will be a funnier more loving place with you. God bless T I.

I still miss his Barney Fife sig that he had when I first registered at LT a couple of years back. And all the funny pics that he would throw out there from time to time. The Link to the Posting and You video, the welcoming airplane for new posters and his one-liners.

My fav was the "Hell" or Welcome to Hell pic with all the ice and snow in the background.

He helped keep LT strong for a long time with FatSam and Butcher.

I noticed a couple conversations between you two in his LG posts when I compiled those for the top of this thread. Some father-to-father advice that I almost posted.

Wow. One of the best posters there was. RIP, TI.

If I may be so bold as to ask, how did you folks find out? Was someone at LT personal friends with him?

Havent been here long enough and didnt get the chance to meet him or see him in action. From the excerpts he seemed like a stand up guy with a good sense of humor.

On to bigger and better things........
