Anyone know how he felt when he found out he was going back to Boston and got replaced by Jones? If he wanted to be here, that would be a good thing to know. I strangely remember he was upset. Or am I just crazy?

True, even his dad came out and said to trade him back to the Lakers. Ainge had to come out and say he never wanted to give up Banks in the first place for damage control.

I know that his family was very disappointed. I cant' clearly remember who told me this, it was either some one at work ( I live in vegas and his family was here at the time), or maybe it was from here, but I remember that his mom was real excited that he was gonna be a laker, cause they were all laker fans.

On a side note, my cousin saw him at Pure nightclub here, and it was night before the lakers played boston last year. My cousin said he had a pretty sick chain on.

RC Buford and Greg Popovich are after Banks because he is a matador 1.

I remember the article. Basically Banks and his family were Laker fans, but were then disappointed and enraged when he was sent back. Banks kept his mouth shut, but I'm pretty sure Banks' father had a few unkind words for Ainge.

hate to rain on any parades. although its a great point that banks did infact want to play for the lakers very much, it holds little relevance. for younger players, especially ones looking for their first multi year contract, they are out for two things, money and years. unless we are willing to give banks something near mle, its going to be difficult to keep him from going to a team offering 4 or 5 years at mle. players like daniels last summer give up a starting position for a few extra years. big advantage we have over a team like the spurs, we can offer a starting position. be aware to nab banks we'll have to offer a decent contract to him in comparison to what he's being offered. Is he worth that? thats the big question of the summer.

Spurs hate D. They think it's over rated.
