They traded away their 1st rounder in the Eddy Curry deal, which will end up being the NUMBER TWO PICK!! What were the knicks thinking when they gave that up?

They spent over $70 million on a player that most teams wouldn't have even spent half of that on. He is a fat, lazy, overpaid player who plays no defense. Knicks could have used their pick on a player who would have been better than Curry and among others a cheap talent.

Way to go Isiah and the Knicks. Talk about Scott Layden being bad, geez.
This franchise went down the drain when Ernie Grunfeld left.

I'm sure we had a little something to do with that. We were in the middle of the Curry bidding at the time. Isiah got scared he wouldn't get his man.

Dude, I hate Zeke.... IMO, I think he's A$$....

Like when he took his team OFF the court when they were about to lose to the Bull in the ECF
Like when he sucker punched Magic Johnson
Like when hefroze Jordan out in an All-Star

He threw himself under the bus when he:

Cause the CBA to fold
Couldn't win with the Raptors
Couldn't win in Indy
And now the Knicks

Let's put things in perspective. When the Knicks acquire Curry, they probably were hoping that they wouldn't stink THIS BAD!!! But as life turns out, the Knicks just stink THAT BAD!!

This is a 20/20 hindsight

So what does Zeke do after that trade.... Ship off the only real vet they have for yet another guard in Jalen Rose (big contract)... then acquire Stevie F. yet another guard with a huge contract... this after already having Steph, Crawford, and drafting Nate Robinson. And we haven't gotten to the two first round draft choices that were traded away for Curry, or Jerome James and his $30 million pay day, or Malik Rose, or Antonio Davis...

Hindsight nuthin'. Curry wasn't going to make them much better. They took on a center who was averaging less than 13 points and 6 rebounds per game for his career. Everyone knew he couldn't rebound or play defense and that he has a heart condition, plus he's always out of shape and has a low B-ball IQ. Isiah and the Knicks have done this to themselves though bad decisions and practically everyone saw it coming. No need for hindsight here.

He owned it for a short period and mismanaged it. I think he could have sold it to the NBA, who wanted to start the NBDL, too.

While I think Mitch is a mediocre-at-best GM, those links alone should shut up anyone making the claim here that he is the worst in the NBA.

Are you serious You mean the Bulls can choose to swap their pick with the Knicks next season! Just imagine if the ping pong ball bounce their way and the Knicks end up with the #1 pick, you know who's going to be in the draft next year right. They'll be building a statue of Isiah right next to MJ in Chicago.
