Webber is an albatross. He makes big jack, can't play a modicum of defense, and whines in the press and in the locker room.

Nobody but Isiah would touch that contract.

Webber, though, could contribute to a strong winning team if he had been waived under the amnesty provision last offseason. Can you imagine him with the Pistons off the bench (actually, the Pistons already have the gifted power forward with the bad knee that comes off the bench - - McDyess). But what about San Antonio? Or even the Lakers? If we had Webber under the amnesty provision? With the triangle, Webber becomes an elite player again on offense.

Yeah it will be hard to convince a team to take on Webber's contract. He has become a $20 million Role Player.

Actually, that trade makes a lot of sense for the sixers. My best friend is die hard Philly fan and we have discussed that Philly is a sleeper. They have to get rid of Webber though, he is the only piece that is holding them back. The thing that made the sixers weak was their defense, mostly because of Webbers inability to help.

I explained that the Sixers need an athletic PF and Martin might be the guy if his knee holds up. He will instantly help the Sixers have one of the best defensive frontcourts with Igou, K-Mart, and Dalambert, even though their offense will remain a question mark. But with Iverson, Korver, and Salmons, they might have enough scoring from them to be able to count on 10 point games from the frontcourt. As well as having a solid back up center in Hunter.
