Give Atlanta Boris Diaw and 3 first round picks for Joe Johnson? Haha!!! I still cannot believe the Hawks gave Diaw and 3 first round picks for Joe Johnson. I just cannot get over it. There was one voice of reason among those 12 Hawk owners who was against the trade and even took his co-owners to court. The 11 dummies won. |

Yeah, that was quite a bad trade for Atlanta. How many more years on Joe Johnsons contract? |

I'm a Suns fan (please don't hurt me...) but the Lakers are my second team as much of my family lives in the L.A. area and they've got me converted. I would definately not trade Boris for JJ straight up, let alone the picks. If Diaw can still fit into the system when Amare is back he'll be an all star sooner rather than later. If he doesn't work out in Phoenix I'd like to see the Lakers get him somewhere down the line. |

Exactly, Diaw straight up Joe would be stupid at this point, let alone the 3 picks. Maybe Diaw was just lazy in Atlanta? I mean how can the Hawks not see that he had the tools? I mean you only have to give up 3 first round picks if you're trying to get rid of a scrub.
Joe Johnson is signed on until 2010. 5 years 70 million. |

Marion+Barbosa+2 first round picks for KG.
Amare Stoudamire / Kurt Thomas
Kevin Garnett / Tim Thomas
Boris Diaw / James Jones
Raja Bell / Eddie House
Steve Nash / (bleep) at this point does it matter?
This squad absolutely obliterates the L. They wouldn't even need a bench AND it's a good deal for the T-Pups. Much better deal than anyone else can offer. The Suns are in a position to do this. Will they? Probably not and I'm glad.[/b] |

ATL never used Diaw properly.
When he DID get some burn, they used him exclusivley at the 3 and wasn't really allowed to use all his skills.
I love his game. I was hoping we'd draft him.
He's one of the few players in the L who really doesn't have a true position. He's just a 6-8 "basketball player." Put him in any system (except Atlanta's ) and he'll fit in and find ways to contribute.
Diaw would THRIVE in the triangle.
In fact, he's kinda like Odom. He can do just about everything, but he's not really looking to take over as a big scorer. It's just not in his nature as a player. He's definitely not a #1 on a team. He's not even a #2. He'd be a perfect 3 and an even better 4.
(I should note that he DID play well in Atlanta. He DID contribute, but no one really took notice, because, well... it's ATLANTA! ) _________________ Everything. Changes. |
