The only ones I ever really got to use were the Canon Rebels. Those are pretty pricey. I'm not sure about the current market for SLRs, but I think it should be either Canon or Sony. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

Digital Rebels are super cheap now. For your needs its probably the perfect camera. Dell has it for $579. link
Also here's a nice comparison site...

I just bought a digital rebel. Let me tell you, within a day i found out how to use it and i'm really loving it. So yes, I think thats pprobably by far the best option, ebay has some pretty good deals, but really I would look into purchasing it elsewhere online, because ebay throws in a bunch of stupid things that are relaly cheap. _________________ In regards to a certain fan wanting to cut his wrists:

Thanks fellers! I looked today at a Nikon D50, it is okay, but a tremendous step down from my baby Canon eos 30d. I miss it. Great times I had for the short time I had it. I was thinking of a Rebel, but Canon reminds my of eos 30d. Oh well time to let go. _________________ Where's Cokie the Clown when you need him? |

^ Great camera; I've had about 4 different digital Olympuses over the past 8 years or so, and they are rock solid. |
