I think we would have beaten the suns. He could have defended Tim and hes a beast on the boards and would have also been a 3pt threat.

Actually, if there is one player I would have wanted against the Suns, it would have been Mark Madsen. No lie. He would have been very fiesty against the soft and undersized Suns. He could have had a lot of boards.

Mihm would have helped too.

Yes he would have come in handy. Unfortunately, we chose george over him for his triangle experience. If we trade Odom for KG, then I wouldn't have a problem using the LLE to sign him or trading for him via Cook or the trade exception to start at SF. Grab Banks for the MLE.

Kwame
KG
JJ
Kobe
Banks

SOLID. Unfortunately, as long as Odom and Walton are on this team, his role will be too limited for him to want to come here.

Phil Jackson admitted after a Laker Bobcat game in whick JJ went off that the Lakers made a mistake in trading him and that they did not know what they had at the time. Of course JJ had never played for Phil.

Good one Mitchy Boy. Another reason this guy needs to be fired!!!!
Always giving away players for nothing.

Is it just me or do the Laker have like 2 second round picks for the next 8 years? Even traded away Rush for nothing who torched Minnesota in the playoffs for nothing. Imagine letting Kobe play the 3 against the Suns and having Rush at the 2. What an idiot this guy is.

I dont really see anything wrong with the rush trade, we got 2 high second round picks. one of them is already turiaf. and just becasue rush had a good game against minn doesnt mean, he might have been helpful. The guy is one of the most injury prone player in the nba. In my opinion it was a good trade

It doesn't matter now, but if we had Jones or Profit, we would have gotten a lot more out of them than DG. Coulda, shoulda, woulda,

Jumaine Jones is a vet min scrub. I like the guy, appreciated his contribution to the Lakers. But, he is not a sought after commodity.

Who said he's sought after? So your saying a player that can shoot 40% from 3pt play defense @ the 2,3,& 4. and Grab rebounds is a scrub?

Jones maximizes his potential, but maybe he gets more playing time somewhere else. We can probably get what we need from Profit anyway.
But I was his number 1 fan when he was here.

I say split the MLE between Jones and Pargo. They both are good shooters, good defenders and some what know the triangle. Shooting and defense is percisely what we need at the small forward and point guard positions, and these two guys supply that and come relatively cheap.

Pargo 5 years/ 14.5 million
Jones 5 years/ 14.5 million
