That's the first thing that I thought of too. Wade is sooooo dramatic.
I like how on Fastbreak they showed previous players who were sick in the playoffs....MJ of course scoring 38 in win......and then Kobe scoring 22 in a loss against the Kings.....but the thing is....they made Kobe look like some B*tch who couldn't play with food poisoning. wtf? |

Wade is a big old flaming drama queen. Gimme a break.
This is at least the 4th or 5th time this post season he's been down for the count only to come flying in with his big cape to save the day.
Spare us....please. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

No one hasta bow down to Wade, but I think he wouldn't go to the hospital, get multiple I.V.'s in his arm just to make it seem like he's a superhero.
Wade wakes up: "Even though I'm killing Detroit by shooting 70% against them, I need to get more attention. <cough, cough> I have the flu. <vomit>. " Highly unlikely.
And yet, Flip didn't put Tayshawn on him the whole series. |

you have a morbid sense of loyalty when it comes to choosing the Lakers over the Heat and their players, huh? forgot you were on the Lakers board and not Heat.net

Dirk Nowitzki had food poisoning prior to Game 6 and missed practice. He came out and put up 24 and 10. Barely a word from the media. |

Yet when Kobe had food poisoning it was front-page news. Good point. |

I saw his interviewed after they won. While interviewed he had that sick look in his eyes, blah blah blah. After the interview he was laughing and joking with his teammates (nothing wrong with that -- if he wasn't "sick"). At the press conference, ditto. He was not sick. The term melingering comes to mind. |

It is possible to joke and have the flu at the same time. I've done it many times. |

Kobe was a defending 2-time champ going for a three-peat against a rival.
Dirk and Wade's situations were much different from Kobe's.
But Dirk and Wade's situations are very similar to each other's - both trying to carry their teams to their first finals berth ever. Yet the media strains to compare Wade to Jordan, while Dirk's illness goes relatively unnoticed.
Just an observation. |

I think the only point here is that you are in Lakersground.net. |

Have you ever had food poisoning? I have and I thought I was going to die..
I went to the emergency room and they put IV in my arm immediately.
Wade IS the biggest drama queen in the NBA.. That whole team reeks of DRAMA
Even notice no matter if it is a big spill on the floor or a little one.. Princess Dwyanna stays down on the floor like he just got hit by a car. |

Hopefully he gets a real flu, and especially the H5N1 (avian influenza) and dies. |
