I absolutely love horror films. Does anyone else? There's just something about being so scared, that it just almost makes being scared fun. What are your favorite scary movies of all time?

Mine:
The Sixth Sense
The Hills have Eyes
SAW I and II
The Grudge
The Ring
The original Psycho

I'm really looking forward to M Night's new one: "Lady in the Water".

I'm a big whorror freak too. I pretty much like all of them. The Ring is the only one that actually scared me though.

The Ring didn't scare me in the least bit. Maybe I just expected too much, as everyone that saw it, told me it was the scariest movie of all time.

The Exorcist
Blair Witch Project

if you really want to be scared, you guys should start watching asian horror flicks.

holy crap, i can't deal with them.

they put out all these super scary films in the hot humid summers so as to "chill" the audience out; and it works.

I've seen both the Exorcist and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Definitely the scariest movies I've ever seen. Scared the hell out of me, no pun intended.

John Carpenters "The Thing"

It doesn't get any better than when a severed head sprouts spider legs and runs across the floor.

3. Michael Jackson's Thriller (everybody in their 20's would understand)
4. Halloween
5. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

Blair Witch would've been scary if people didn't have to spoil it for everyone else and tell them it was fake. Damn, what I would've given to see that and think it's real.

Their hasn't been a good scary movie in quite some time. That's why I'm hoping for a good movie in The Omen.

The Hills have Eyes was terrible, as was Saw 1.

The Ring was good, but the second was dissapointing.

The last scary movie I absolutely loved was the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Freddy vs. Jason was funny for the wrong reasons.

Of course the Exorcist is an all timer.

Hostel - not necessarily a true "horror" movie, but you'll do plenty of cringing in the gross parts, plus you got the flare of Rodriguez and Tarantino.

Oldboy - also not a true horror movie, more a drama. It's a Korean movie that's violent as hell and had me thinking about it for days after I saw it - truly a psychological mindf -at- $%.

Shaun of the Dead - Funniest horror movie ever!

The Hills Have Eyes is seriously the most grotesque, "wtf!!?!?" type of movie I've ever seen. Absolutely pushes the limit more than any movie I've ever seen.

Same here. Shaun of the Dead is awesome.

I also enjoy the Evil Dead movies (Bruce Campbell is badass), The Shining, the first Jaws movie, Psycho, and Night of the Living Dead to name a few.
