When asked about Shaq and Wade.
"Dwyane can play like Kobe, ummmm, he doesn't have the 3 point shot like Kobe. But get into the basket and get into the line, its pretty much similar" and "Shaq is Shaq".

I dont know if this should be on NBA Discussion or on here. Please move it where it should be.
Thank you.
Personally I think this would be the hardest match up for Wade. I dont know why they didnt put Prince on him a lot more when the Pistons were playing them.
Mavs in 6 games. |

^ Yes. Shaq is actually playing well even with only 1 day rests. That was his biggest problem the past 2 years. |

this guy has all the intangibles. quicker than alot of tall guys around his heigth. stronger than alot of shorter guys. can shoot the ball. and is clutch in key moments.
this is a guy who kinda reminds me of a younger sam cassell. comes through for his team in big moments. underrated. but can get the job done.
and i think dallas has this guy comin off the bench.
dallas will be the next NBA champion _________________ Los Angeles Lakers |

Dallas has already been tested by the some of the best defensive teams in the league and the best offensive team.
Memphis - Great defensive team, that likes to bang.
Spurs - World Champions, deep bench, great defense, great coach.
Suns - Best offensive team BY FAR in the league.
What can Miami do that Dallas hasn't already seen?! No way in hell could Miami have got through the 3 teams above.
Dallas in 5 or 6 - Miami hasn't played anyone close to Dallas' level. |

I knew there was something I alway's liked about Josh Howard. That little tid-bit about poor man's Shaq and Kobe was just priceless.
Mavs will take in 6. |

Well, Detroit was the best team in the league for the entire year, I think that counts for something. And NJ was nothing to scoff at either (I recall many here predicting them to beat Miami after they took game #1).
Both teams are playing good basketball so it should make for a great series. If I were a betting man (and I am), I'd say Miami in 6. |

Detroit was the best in the regular season, then they imploded in the playoffs (like all flip saunders teams). The Cavs took them to 7 games for christ sakes! Detroit was a shadow of their former self.
Go look at the teams Dallas knocked off and compare them to the teams Miami knocked off. Dallas took the toughest road in the NBA playoffs. |

I agree that Dallas has had the toughest route, but it's not like Miami's schedule has been a cakewalk. The Bulls were one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs. The Nets were a 50-win team that had a fantastic second half of the season (including, I believe, a 10+ game winning streak). And the Pistons had one of the best seasons in recent memory-- yeah, they weren't playing their best ball but they were still a damn good team.
The Mavs beat one great team in the Spurs, and that series was as close as possible. The Suns are a good team but no better than the Cavs or Nets (come on, the Lakers AND Clippers took them to 7 games and both teams were one botched play away from winning the series).
IMO, the Heat are playing better than anyone in the league right now. All season long the question wasn't whether they had talent or not, but whether they had chemistry. Now, it appears that they do. They are a similar team as the Spurs in terms of their size and inside-out game, but they are more talented. I like their chances. |

Did you watch the series, Wade owned Prince, dominated him, haven't seen Kobe do that, Wades a good player. |

All you have to know about the Heat's chances against the Mavs is that Detroit shot 37% from the field for the series and Miami still lost two games. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks |

finally someone tells the truth, Wade is good, but he is not as lethal, he doesn't have the jumpshot and range, he doesn't have the defense, he doesn't have the ability to get in such a zone that any shot is possible, and his killer instinct although good is not as good as Kobe's |

I did watch the series and for the most part Prince DIDN'T GUARD WADE. In fact, that was one of the criticisms of Flip Saunders because no one could understand why he didn't put his best perimeter defender on Miami's best perimeter player.
FYI Kobe averaged a hair under 40 ppg against Detroit this year. That's pretty dam dominant. In fact, Kobe was the only player in the entire league to average that much against Detroit, and he did it without the talent around him that Wade has that other teams can't ignore, thus the defensive focus was far more on Kobe and he still torched the Pisstons. I assume that since you've never seen Kobe do it, you missed those games? |

During last season's Eastern Conference Finals Prince admitted that Wade was a nightmare cover for him because he was simply too quick. Early in that series Larry Brown switched off Prince and played Wade exclusively with Rip and Lindsey Hunter. This season Flip simply followed suit with the same defensive strategy because Prince wanted no part of trying to guard Wade anymore. |
