They are the same gear that football players wear..
Seems odd.. |

Maybe because the NBA realizes he doesn't have a game outside of driving to the hoop, with wreckless abandon, as fast as he can... and throwing down a thunderous dunk.
Make him get rid of the pads... they shorten his already flash-in-the-pan career.

Don't forget the flak jacket that he often wears underneath his jersey. |

I love the way you're tearing into Wade. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam

I've said this many times, u take shaq away from wade and he is done. He doesnt have a complete game. Its like he is in nba live and all he does is run around the basket tring too dunk. Wade has been injured every year so far.
Rookie Year = Sprained Wrist = 30 games
Sophmore Year = Strained Rib Cage = Lost a chance at the nba finals
This year = Almost a terrible hip injury ( Did u see how he landed, that could've been nasty).
Wade has gotten banged up or could have been injured pretty seriously in his early career, hip, wrist and rib, arent minor setbacks. |

Did you hear Riley at last nights press conference talking about DAWEYENANE Wade?
Some reporter asked that Wade had been roughed up a little and if he would be okay for the next game...Riley's answer, "Yes, he falls down 8 times and gets up 9, isn't that how it goes" Even Riles was being sarcastic but he knows that Wade is always hurt or IMO acting hurt. |

The leg warmers he is wearing now, are banned next year, unless you have medical clearance too wear them. |

I'm probably overexaggerating the flak jacket thing (although he did wear a flak jacket in game 7 of the ECF last year), but check out the link.

What about Simmons' "homeless man's ______"? Sounds quite good, even as it is by Simmons. |

If the NBA wants to promote his Iversonesque reckless abandon kamikazi lane drives they should give him an entire football uniform so he can just run up through there like a NFL full back w/o fear of injury...oh and give him an extra few steps while their at it. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |

I've seen interviews where he mentions it. something about it being a preventitive measure b/c he plays hard. _________________ "I define success by championships, by winning..." Kobe Bryant

Because Kobe doesn't wear them. It's amusing about the leg-warmers and the NBA's response to them. |

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I'm sure he won't be allowed to wear them after the tights/leg-warmers ban. |

Actually I saw it on TV sometime this year also. I kept thinking take ALL that away from him, whatever protective sleeve he has on his body and legs and he'll be out in no time. I only hope that when the league resdticts the use of those, he doesn't get some bogus clearance or waver. If he is going by how tough he is by getting up after falling, take your falls like a man. |

Gotta believe he'll get medical clearance. The NBA has to protect its superstars. Kobe also. |

I remember seeing a picture of Kobe wearing the quad pads as well.
I think I tracked down the article, but I can't confirm without BSPN insider.

Can someone with insider do a quick check? |
