Riles is 3-8 in the Finals without Magic, right?
- Games 2,3 & 4 1989 Finals (3 losses w/o Magic)
- NY Knicks (3 wins, 4 losses against Rockets)
- Miami Heat (1 loss) |

slick is a great coach but i think we're gonna see (and already have seen a little bit from last night) that the best coach in the finals this year is avery johnson. |

Win or lose, Riley is doing a great coaching job with the Heat this year.
Frankly I think he did a great job with the Knicks and Heat except for letting what's his name keep shooting when he was ice cold in game 7 against the Bulls. |

Yeah -- letting Starks stay in while veteran Rolando Blackman sat on the bench.
I've loved Riles since reading "Showtime" and reading Magic's book. It was only recently that I read the true story behind the scenes of the events leading to his resignation back in 1990. |

Snaq doesn't exactly have a dominating W-L record in the Finals without Kobe either.
Maybe, just maybe, Magic and Kobe are a bit better than some haters want to give them credit for eh?
Magic in my opinion was the best NBA player of all time.
Kobe might be the most talented player inch for inch in NBA history.
Pretty awesome that they both are "Lakers for Life" _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I agree with you. All the Jordan nad sniffers were too little to watch actual good basketball in the 80s, not like the watered crap that started in the 90s that Jordan got. |

Man preach it! There were no Heat, no T'wolves, no Magic, no Grizzlies back then. MJ got his arse kicked by the Lakers on the regular. I remember it like it was yesterday |

Although I do beleive coaching is key, in this case it really doesnt matter. Dallas is playing better and they have a better team. Players win games. Its the coaches job to make sure they play..... |

Johnson is owning Riley. Plain and simple. _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.
