Can u guys help me?? NBA Live 06 or 2k6?

I really wanna buy one of them for PS2 but im not sure which one. So im hoping my fellow LG'ers can help me out on making the best decision
which is better gameplay and the overall better game. Im aware that NBA live has the dunk contest but the gameplay isnt that great at all. I've never played NBA 2k6 but i've heard that the "2k" series are way better than the Live series. I wanna buy one but im not sure which one. Can you guys help me which series is better. It has been that way since oh, about 2001.

2k6 or 7 when it comes out. I've played both and Live has horrible AI, and graphics

the gameplay on 2k7 on XBOX 360 seems to take much more advantage of the system's abilities than 2k6 did... check it

Live is an absolute joke! I got a little bored with 2k6 so I thought I'd pick up Live. Didn't even finish one game! The players are cartoonish, bobblehead types, and when they shoot jumpers they elevate like 20 feet.

NBA 2k6 could get better though... unlike past games, the all-time greats all retire after one season, so no building a franchise with Magic unfortunately. Also, still too easy to make unbalanced trades. Here's my current roster (and I play w/o trade override):

Cassell
Ginobili
Kobe
Brand
Mutumbo

Bench:
Luke
Vlad Rad
Barbossa

Why the hell can't Mitch do this?

if you want a game that your planning on playing by yourself most of the time, it's wise to invest in 2k6 because the single-player modes give alot more value to the game.

if your one of those people who like to brag and like flashy things like the dunk contest, or being able to give a bunch of facials to your friends then I get NBA Live 06. Live 06 can be a nice game, but outside of the Dynasty mode I really don't play anything else. But considering I got both games for free I'm not complaining.

ive always been a 2k fan over live

2k has best graphics for bball game out there....and best gameplay

live looks like the player are iceskating , the camera angles are terrible and gfx of N64.

GO WITH 2k6 , its cheaper too, you dont knwo what ur missing.

but Live 06 was arcade like, street ball like

so i gave NBA 2k6 a chance and fell in love with it

I dont like the 2k series.

I think I am the only person alive that likes Live O6. really like the season and dynasty mode.

Annual debate. Every year I get both of them . 05 I will have to give it to Live. This year I think I have to give it to 2k6. It's weird for me like that every year. For the 360 I just think that 2k6 has the edge this year.
