"The Magic could have interest in New Orleans Hornets shooting guard J.R. Smith, who likely will be on the trading block. He and Hornets Coach Byron Scott apparently have had a falling-out."

Man, if that happened, that Magic team is starting to look like a future monster. Lots of young talent if Smith can get his head on straight.

C - Darko
PF - Howard
SF - Hill?
SG - Smith
PG - Nelson

I'm guessing Hill will retire. He has one year left on that contract. In 07/08 they will have SO much cap space to work with. They are in a good spot for the future. Maybe they will waive Grant Hill or perhaps trade his ending contract for a good player(s). Turkoglu will be their SF I guess. Plus they have Arroyo there as well. They can sign a big name player next year for a max contract.

I really like the magic going for nice young kids stacked with potential. However, they need to watch out not to overcram the place with projects. If they get JR, look out in the future

Magic looking pimped even without Hill:

D12
Darko
Turk
JR
Jameer

Plus they got solid vets on the bench like Arroyo, Battie and Stevenson.
And some great youngs too like Ariza, Dooling, Diener.

This is why I think cap-space in 2007 won't be all that for the Lakers. Orlando can offer more money, equally-good weather, and friendlier state taxes. Rashard Lewis and Desmond Mason would be great fits over there.

exactly

a high flying chucker that doesn't care about the team

look at the kid's rookie year: he tossed 281 three pointers in only 24.5 minutes per game and knocked them down at 28%

sad
