Quote: | Paul Pierce has some thoughts about what the Celtics should do with the No. 7 pick in the NBA draft. "I'd find a way to use that seventh pick to get a guy like a Kevin Garnett, a Jermaine O'Neal, somebody. At least explore it," Pierce said.

If either of those two guys can be had for the #7 in a weak draft...the Lakers could easily match that with LO and Mihm? I don't think Paul realizes that any trade for KG with Minny would have to include himself or Wally and that probably won't be happening.
I'm guessing the Celtics-Pacers trade would go something like:
#7, Wally, LaFrentz and Delonte West or Gerald Green for J.O. and Stephan Jackson.
Is that better than Odom, Mihm and Cook for J.O. and #17? |

Well, are the Celts under cap?? if they are, then using that pick to land a KG or JO is possible. Not likely, but definitely possible. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe. |

Just ever since that Len Bias passing, which was 20 years ago, http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/5702250 the Celtics have gone downhill.
is it possible, maybe ... anything is possible. But I doubt it. The draft nowadays just doesn't offer anything that will be an imidiate impact, with the exception of the Wade, James, Anthony, Howard, Bosh class. |

^^^^ True. I meant as an entire class. You're just not gonna be able to trade players for draft picks and expect to find a Ewing, Olajuwon, O'Neal, Jordan type of player.
Celtics really have some serious issues. Almost 20 years since they've even sniffed the finals. |

Pierce would have to be involved to even start talking trade for those two players. He's on crack. |
