Unfortunately, they still had to get through Miami -- an old-school, MJ Era-type team with one superstar (Wade), another All-Star (Shaq), some overpaid pieces that didn't quite fit and a famous coach. Everything about them is predictable -- one guy creates every shot in crunch time, everyone else stands around and watches him, and every once in awhile those guys get to shoot an open jumper or finish a nice dish. This recipe would be boring if it weren't for Wade, a dynamic talent and the most consistent crunch-time scorer since Jordan. But that's the problem: In between Jordan and Wade, we had to watch all the wannabes pretending to be as good as them. And they weren't. Not even close.
hmm wonder who he's referring to _________________ When you do something that you truly, truly love doing, you find yourself wanting to do it all the time.
Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael

Kobe's years of clutch shots no longer matter.
It will only make the Black Mamba hungrier. _________________ "I accepted their challenge. I accepted the doubt of everyone who spoke on my downfall and used their words as fuel. I have a franchise to resurrect, a city of fans to uplift."
Wade is consistent when he's getting the calls or when people are leaving him wide open. How can anyone even think that this fool is on Kobe's level? Call me when he has to contend with concentrated defensive effort on the part of the other team on a nightly basis. _________________ "In essence, the trade was: Shaq, Rick Fox and Gary Payton for Odom, Kwame, Mihm, Profit, 2nd round picks, a 1st round pick and 30 million in luxury tax saviings." - LakerJam

Wasn't this superstar 11-28? If not for the refs this guy is Iverson light. Let's see the Great Wade close this series out.

Seems to me the scoreboard still reads Kobe 3 - Wade 0 _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman
This is the thing...A truly great player will show you something different every time you see him play. Baylor, Magic, Kobe, MJ, LB..........What does Wade show? Drive to right hand. Shoot free throws. Not to say he doesn't do that well. No one from MJ to Wade? That's a stretch of anyones imagination.

I can think of about 10 other shots than appear in that video. That's the best part. Kobe is scary when the game's on the line. The whole league knows that. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. Incredible video footage. I just got finished watching it and my heart is up. It's easy to forget how many shots he's hit, especially when you're watching somebody else hit shots. Wade's got a long way to go.

He didnt slame Kobe in that article, and he actually complimented him once (if I recall). The overall article was very good, and he is the only writer who is talking out about the way the refs work in the NBA. If it were Kobe that got that phantom call I would hope that we fans could at least recognize a legitimate gripe (though still enjoy the victory!). I think Cuban made a bit of a fool of himself ... but you gotta admire his passion and his POV on this particular issue.
I wonder if Dr. Buss has lost his passion, in the sense that he seems to be concentrating more at this point on transferring his legacy to his kids. Preserving the legacy, but I wonder if his drive is as singular as Cuban's is right now. Not that Buss would have ever made a fool of himself the way Cuban did in the post-game interviews and on the court.
