I am almost willing to seriously bet $100.00 cash and say that within the next three years, AT LEAST TEN OTHER TEAMS are going to find incredibly attractive, smart and ambitious young women to serve as scouting and management types.

I'm serious.

The Lakers have often been at the forefront or ahead of the pack on trends.

Cheerleaders and celebrity-packed courtside seats? The Lakers.

Impact European scouting/ drafting of players, especially bigmen? Lakers, with Vlade.

Pulling out alls tops to gamble on high school talent? Lakers, with Kobe.

Female executives in high-profile and substantive (i.e. not just window-dressing) positions? First Jeanie, now Bonnie-Jill.

Seriously -- how many other teams have female executives in prominent positions? Show of hands? You can probably count them on ONE.
