Deuceologist--what's your favorite gangster movie?

For me, it's between: Sangre por Sangre and Colors.

Good list, but one of those sticks out like a sore thumb. Personally I thought City of God was horrible and the most overrated movie in years. But the others you listed are great.

And I agree, graffiti is vandalism when done on someone else's property.

see ocho, you had it all wrong. these are gangstER movies. not gangstA. ER vs the A.
similar but not the same.

gangsters have a code of respect, honor, they like suits.

Most Gangstas dont have any respect for to much of anything or anyone, nor honor, and they hate suits.

with that said, the best GangstER movie is either Godfather, or Scarface.

the best GanstA movie is either BoyZ in The Hood (probably the realest depiction of LA hood living ever) or Colors(kind of over exaggerated though).

Chef to be honest, maybe when i hit 50+. but as of now. IF it looks terrible, then its Vandalism. if it looks good, then its Freedom of expression.

Beat STreet's "Spit" was Vandalism.

Beat Street's "Ramone" was Freedom of expression.

LOL

No doubt, man. Like postandpivot was saying, I wasn't thinking pin-stripe suit-wearing gangster, if you know what I'm saying.

But have you seen Sangre por Sangre?--it's a seriously good movie.
