Quote:
The Game

Game 3 began with Duke’s Nick Horvath and San Diego State’s Marcus Slaughter in the starting lineup, alongside JR Pinnock, Jordan Farmar, and Andrew Bynum. The game began sluggishly. After an early 8 to 3 lead in Memphis’s favor, the Lakers closed the game to 20-19 at the end of the 1st quarter. By halftime, the Lakers took a 47 to 46 lead over Memphis, with Bynum scoring 14 points with 4 boards in just over 15 minutes.
The 2nd half was a telling story of the game. After the Grizzlies pulled a 5-point lead at the end of the 3rd, the Laker defense held fort in the 4th quarter. The Grizzlies were held to 11 points in the 4th quarter, which opened the window for the Lakers to win. Andrew Bynum hit 2 critical free throws in under a minute of play to give the Lakers a 2-point lead. Farmar sealed the game with a baseline pick and roll situation, utilizing a slight hesitation move on Lowry all the way for a layup. He was also key in providing 2 critical defensive stops with under 34 seconds to go, contesting 3-point shots, both missed, by Anthony Roberson....

Except, he dunked on Glyniadopolis for And 1s. Twice.

Look at both sides of the picture.

That dunk by Warrick was his fault. 1 step too far off defensively to do anything about it. Late rotation.

I wish I had gametape and could break it down to multiple 7 second sequences of things that don't show on the statsheet but were excellent examples of hoop IQ.

Mike, that's all we need to hear. If he can take this to the preseason games, then Smush really should be worried.

 Yeah, I'm sure you're disappointed, though not for the reasons you noted. In fact, looking at your recent posts on Bynum, you don't seem to like him all that much.

What a shame. Since he's only 18, you'll probably be seeing a lot more of him in the future.

ArrOhBee is a Bynum hater. I looked back at most of his posts and everything is bashing Bynum.

Compared to last season, you're overreacting. Greatly.

And who told Warrick he could shoot a midrange jumpshot? He looked niiice. Very good at the line as well. Remember the "if Hakim Warrick can develop a midrange jumper he'll be awesome" thing? Well, it looks like he has.

Thanks Mike!

Farmar seems to be able to get it done consistently. He's definitely looking like late first round steal, so far.

Sitting behind Rudy Gay and Mike Miller still.

1 game of hitting jumpshots doesn't buy PT during the regular season.

Really, he needs to use a spin move in the mid post, kill from midrange (just like SHawn Marion did/does in his career), and hopefully get 3pt. range. That's the only way he'll ever get serious minutes.

Because Green shut him down for a 4 of 11 game on Saturday.
