Everyone--lets send a message to Kobe Bryant as he prepares for the upcoming season and faces surgery.
I'll start it off:
KOBE--I know this will be a great year for you and the Lakers. Good luck with the surgery. Take it easy during the recovery--we know that you will be back on top of your game soon. You are still the perennial basketball star--the one player who Spurs Coach Pop calls the greatest player on the planet--a title that Tim Duncan, Manu and Tony Parker, all agree with. (As a Spurs fan living in San Antonio--I always appreciated the way that you encouraged Manu at the All-Star Game last year--he came away talking about your encouragement more than anything else. We will always respect your game--and you and the Lakers). |

He didn't. He had his surgery here in Los Angeles. No more Denver for Kobe, unless it's to play basketball. |
