I think it's a dumb idea. why water down the brand. Not many promient #8's that I can think of offhand. Plus, it'll give people ammo to say that he's trying to be one better than MJ and now Lebron, regardless of how many times that he denies it. |

| What was the reason he gave the Crew at TNT? I heard that Adidas was coming out with shoes that looks similar to Kobe's shoes when he was with Adidas, but they are calling it crazy 8's. Another possible reason why he would change it, or it can be part of the reason. |

Does it really matter. He's changing it, and the NBA owners and David Stern are gonna make a boatload of cashola off it.
The only thing I hope for, is that all that new money will encourage Darth Stern to veer a little more favorable (hell, I'll settle for fair) officiating his way. Maybe he can start getting some of that Wade love.
