Perfect timing. Just yesterday I started to get sick.

I want to thank DB, Popcorn, Misti, and the crew from Clublakers that made the experience the most enjoyable yet.

Quote:
The game started slow as foul calls were made every 20 seconds within the first 4 minutes of the game. Flow of the game and tempo were continually interrupted by silly foul calls or poor calls. The Lakers found themselves down 4-13 with 5:46 left in the 1st quarter. After a timeout, they had a 13-6 run, sparked by Jordan Farmar on a couple of 3-pointers, a drive dish situation to setup Douthit, and a 10′ pull-up jump-shot off of a high pick and roll situation. The quarter ended with the Lakers down 19-22.

By halftime, the score was 48-53, practically even in the 2nd quarter. Kasib Powell had a nice sequence of plays within the first 4 minutes, with a weakside blocked shot on Terence Kinsey, a 3-pointer, ....

If I get sick, I'm telling my boss it's your fault.

Thanks for the lesson on the triangle and for the laugh, I got just one thing to say - Botox!

You did miss the show though, Von Wafer had a shooting contest with one his friends afterwards, he made like 20 shots in a row and won $240 off his friend.

Too bad he's not efficient in the actual games.

See that is what makes me wonder about Wafer. He can shoot, but he is not doing it within the confines of the triangle. Now I am starting to think that Pinnock has a chance to make the squad over Wafer.

Reading posts by LGers that are attending games, I am thinking that Green>Pinnock>Wafer.

Great read Mike!

A shame I missed it. Had to bring uncle home early for work the next day.

I would've liked to challenge Wafer in a shooting contest though.

I walked out with Pop while Wafer sank 5 or 6 three's in a row. He's got skills...but like I said it's like we are trying to fit a square peg in a Triangle-shaped hole. It ain't a natural fit.

I watched a bit of that shooting match as well.. fun stuff. I left when they were going back and forth between $30 and $40 -- I guess Wafer got hot after that :)

Oh yeah, you missed it. It was crazy, he couldn't miss a shot.

I caught a couple minutes of it on video. Want me to e-mail it?

^Nah, thanks for the offer though.

After watching my dad make 35 21' jumpers in a row... I'm pretty sure how strong NBA caliber shooting is.
