At the time that it first came out, I don't think I'd ever seen a funnier movie that Airplane! By the time it was over, my sides hurt from laughing so much and so hard.

Since then, I think the only movie that's come close to having that effect on me was Something About Mary.

Co-signs on both.

Seeing Something About Mary in the theater was akin to going out for stand up comedy. I hadn't laughed so hard at a movie in years.

oh i can't believe i forgot to add 'everything you always wanted to know about sex but were afraid to ask'. the portion of the film with gene wilder and the sheep is quite possibly the funniest thing ever put on film.
