Great game by Nomar tonight!

San Diego loses which keeps the Dodgers up 2.5 games in First.

Go Blue!!

300 game winners are a rare bunch. If you won an average of 15 games per season, it would take 20 years to achieve that number. Maddux has 328 wins in 20 years and a lifetime ERA of 3.06. Maddux has had some great years.

Can you believe Mychal Thompson thinks that Maddux should not get into the hall of fame..

Maddux is definitely first ballot HOF when he retires. He's one of the best pitchers in the history of the game.

Well it's no secret that Thompson is certifiably insane.
If Greg Maddux isn't a first-ballot Hall of Famer, then the Hall of Fame is meaningless and every idiot that has a vote should not only have their vote taken away, but drug out into the street and shot. 4 Cy Youngs, 15 Gold Gloves, 300+ wins, 3000+ strikeouts. There's no way he doesn't make the hall.

Is Maddux better than Clemens, Pedro, Schilling, Big Unit????

Tough call but I believe Maddux has the best ERA in that group of dominant pitchers but the only thing hurting Greg is he doesn't have the fat strike out nos. the others have.

If not for Kent and Ethier ruining a bases loaded oppurtunity last week the Blue could be riding an 18 game winning streak. Not even the Yanks with a $200m payroll could come close to that figure. Of course it helps that the Dodgers are in the much weaker NL.

They should be riding an 18 game winning streak. Why was Lugo trying to steal home in a 1 run game?
Anyway, I hope they rattle of a ten game winning streak now.
