I really liked Devean too. I think injuries may have robbed him of some consistency the last 2 years, but it seems that he was never able to put a full game together. By that, I mean it just seemed to me that when his offense was clicking, his D sucked, or when his D was good, his offensive game struggled. It will still be sucky to see Devean wearing another uniform.

I liked that video... Good tribute. I feel like I went the full cycle, several times, with George... There were times that I thought he looked as good as
shawn Marion, for short periods. George kept disappearing again.
I remember when I was sure, in my heart, that George had surpassed Fox, in skill, and athleticism... That was the last year that we won a championship.... I remember, Phil kept switching from Fox, to George... Devean had a beautiful chance, to assert himself, and take over the 3. Why Devean didn't aggressively take over, is beyond me... There must have been a lot of politics, behind the scenes.
I see Devean, as having the same type personality, as Elden Campbell, and Kwame Brown. I see that complacency, and lack of decisive aggression... As we can see, from highlight videos, however, all those "complacent-looking" players have broken-out, from time-to-time... It's just that it doesn't seem to happen often enough.
I have to confess, that I wanted Jumaine Jones, and Caron Butler, ahead of George. I blamed George for taking up that extra space. I have the feeling, that Phil wants to go with the Scottie Pippen Type, at the 3. George is just your standard small forward, that plays on the wing. The triangle may have been too confining, and we may see George flourish, in another system.
I can think of no better tribute, but to wish George good fortune, for the rest of his career. This will be his last hurrah, and I hope he makes the most of it. I look forward, to hearing about how well he is working out, as a starter, even if it is, for Cuban. _________________ "Teamwork is a nebulous thing.
