I've got a small claims action scheduled next month against a mortgage lender. I'm not sure which category it actually falls under, but I think it's in the fraud/breach of contract realm.

Anyway, I'm looking for some pointers on how to present my best case (i.e. hitting home on strong points, and positively spinning the weaker ones).

If anyone (lawyer that is) has the time and is interested, please PM me and I'll supply the abridged version of my situation.

Thanks.

That's not his area of law.

Though, I suppose only he can answer questions in regards to what he can/can't offer.

For small claims actions, the best resource I know of is to go to your local Borders or Barnes and Noble and pick up a book by the NOLO PRESS publishing company. They specialize in legal self-help books. They have one specifically on how to handle small claims lawsuits in California. The book is about 20-25 bucks, but it is money well-spent. I've used it for general reference when I've had corporate clients that were facing bogus/ shakedown small claims lawsutis from customers.
