Andre Agassi.

He's retiring after this tournament. His last one ever. I remember watching him in 80's and he's probably the only player for the last decade that I have related to tennis.

Anyone else watching, tonight or this week for Agassi?

I will be. I watch almost all pro sports except baseball. Andre Agassi's last hoorah. Hopefully, he will put on a show before the lights go out.

hopefully Agassi does well in the tournament, maybe even get as far as he did last year, but its gonna be tough since he's unseeded and in a tough draw. Who knows, he's won a major when unseeded before, maybe he can do it one last time.

Great match.

Agassi pulled through and you could feel the electricity in the stadium. It was unreal. Great moment for tennis.

Hopefully he can keep winning. The guy has the crowd behind him like nothing else I have seen.

Andre Agassi is the man. The way he played last night, the poise, the guts to go for huge shots... he's one of the greatest ever. That inside-out forehand return winner to take the third set tiebreaker was just AMAZING.

He was getting handled, but kept it together to rally back, especially from a 4-0 deficit in the third. Definitely inspirational to watch.

There's almost NO chance he wins it all, but I hope he makes his farewell run a good one.

Andre Agassi, one of my favorite athletes of all-time.

Haha here we go again.
Dude, you've single-handedly made this offseason a bit more tolerable.

Anyways.. truly can't miss this U.S. Open. Besides, tennis is a pretty fun sport to watch (and play). Except.. watching the girls is annoying sometimes.. just too much moaning and groaning.
Which reminds me, once I was watching a Women's match with Sharapova vs. whoever at my parent's house. My mom was cooking in the kitchen and heard the TV and thought that I flipped to a porno or something.

Andre is handling his business against Baghdatis. 6-4, 6-4, 2-2 in the 3rd set.

Edit: 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 3-0 in the 4th.

Andre !
Andre !
Andre !

You don't have to be a tennis fan to appreciate this moment. This is a guy who's giving his heart to the fans, game and himself for one last run.

I have never seen anything like this in tennis. The fans, excitement and atmosphere is uncanny.

Thank you Agassi. We are not worthy.

Yeah. My heart was pumping like crazy in that 5th set - it was like a Laker playoff game. When Agassi went down that first game in the 5th set along with the disaster in the 4th, I thought about it being over. His career, everything - ending in such a bad way.

A choke job. That would have been a horrible ending.

Thank god he got through that. The comeback was unreal. He just never quits. The match against Blake last year was just like that, only he was in the Bagdatis role coming from 2 sets down.

I am so proud of this guy. He's the only player I have ever watched tennis for. It's so great to see him have this ....
