I also like dial-up internet and VCR's. |
And I'm guessing you posted this on an IBM Selectric? |
Nope - a Packard Bell. 1.2 Gigabyte hard drive. 333 MHz processor. I'm running Windows 3.1 on it. I really don't see what the big deal is about upgrading. I can run all the software I need. I just look for sweet titles on the clearance rack at Ross or TJ Maxx. I found an awesome Webster's Dictionary disc the other day, along with a totally fun Franklin the Turtle game. _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.

I was leaning toward Sirius, but this confirms. Thanks. _________________ Stop crying and start doing.

I can't burn you a copy because I don't have a burner. I'll just give you the game when I'm done with it, if you want. I've almost beaten the whole thing, anyway. Be careful of the inchworms in level 2. They're tricky. If you don't jump early enough, they trip you while you're in the air and you drop all your apples. _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.

I used to be, but do you realize how hard it is to post here via fax? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Yep - it's rough - especially when you're faxing a really long post, and people are trying to call your house and they just get the busy signal, so they have to page you, and you have like 6 numbers on your pager that you have to call back when you're done. _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Actually it's more like Siruis = VCR, XM = Beta Max from a technology standpoint.
With that aside, it all depends what you are looking for. I find, for my music taste, I like XM slighlty better (but that's just me)
Xm Vs Siruis
The article does a Sirius/XM "side by side" comparison. It really bolis down to musical taste. That's why it's good to test drive before you buy (which I did,.. but price is what swayed me, I got a really good deal, so I went with XM,.. and I love).
One note about the sports.... being on the East Coast, I find that I'm home 90% when the Lakers are on (which is usally some time after 9:30pm est usuallly 10 or 10:30). Last X-Mas my XM contact was up so I looked at Siruis. If I were going to switch, I would of done it because of B-Ball,.. but when I saw that b-ball is not part of the online package, I decided against it. Plus, there are couple shows/formats that I like that Siruis doesn't offer (however that goes both ways, i.e. I like The Faction on Sirius, XM does not have a similarliy formatted station). Also, I was able to buy another radio for $20 (Roady XT) at Best Buy, and got 2 one year contracts for $150.00 total. Once again, it came down to price.
In the end it comes down to personal taste.... like Coke Vs Pepsi... |
