Having fun with the lady friend, suddenly hear the dog yelp outside. My mind starts worrying, he never barks. There is a skunk in the neighborhood every night. 5 seconds later, the smell of skunk through the windows. We check on him, he got it worse. Now the whole house stinks, the lady is bathing him, and we have to sleep elsewhere (our bedroom is on the first floor, so road trip upstairs!).

Worst part, she got hers, and I never got mine.

We are weeping because that was the apex of our existence, and there is nothing we can ever do that will come close?

That might have been close to the apex, but this one took us....over the top.

Solar eclipse will cost America almost 700 million dollars in lost productivity Seeing as how my productivity is next to nothing, I won't be contributing to this when I take 4 hours off from work to "view" the eclipse.

You are in academia. Your productivity is negative, parasite.
You taking this four hours is a long awaited relief to all honest taxpayers.

Wait, I thought that's what happens when you see college freshmen on campus?

Which reminds me how my father unexpectedly walked in when me and some of my friends were trying to clean up the place after an ... eventful evening.

He looked surprised.

Who's ready to be blinded by the sun?

And be inundated with Total Eclipse of the Sun video links?

Because I'm such a nice guy.

A big fat meh.

I didn't even step outside. I didn't want the gods to rain ash and brimstone down on me.

You probably couldn't tell much of a difference between the eclipsed sun and what you normally call sunlight up there in Michigan.
