I checked with my immediate supervisor, i.e. me, and have received permission to screw off for the rest of the day. _________________ Not a legend |

Think I've had enough?
Think again. I'm gona go and make a big bowl of fresh raspberry jam right now, and then eat half of it.
And then I'll repeat it again tomorrow. And the day after... |
This post is useless without a recipe. |

Tried to go to the my nearest In-n-out yesterday.
They were out of power!? It was an inconvenient drive from downtown .
Gotta get some today over lunch break. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

There is no better time to read LG than sitting in some seminar.
Still counts as working time. _________________ .

If you apply for a job and go for the interview, what's the most amount of time you give that new job time to get back to you? |
Back in March I applied to a job that was a long shot, but something I really wanted. They were hiring quickly and was able to score an interview. After the interview, which I thought went really well, they told me they'd for sure let me know either way within 24 hours. The person who interviewed me was always quick to respond to emails in the process leading up to it, so I was pretty bummed when I had heard nothing 48 hours later (despite a few follow ups on my end). They had told me about letting me know within 24 hours, so I assumed pretty confidently that someone else already got the job, but since I still had a very slight glimmer of hope I continued to follow up once a day. More than I would normally do, but i knew they were hiring quickly and wanted to stay in their minds. 2 days after that I heard back. I was thanked for my follow ups and offered the job. |
They were just fed up with your e-mails and decided that it is simpler to hire you than to adjust the spam filter. |
However we get there. |
A hearty congratulations. Maybe I should have taken this route. I did not wind up getting the job. Screw them, their loss. But happy you got yours.

I'd care if there were wine and cakes involved. _________________ .

Cake batter and wine bottles....but used in a slightly different fashion than you might expect. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

I was a more traditional stoner. Just the normal Capn for me. Definitely shredded the roof of my mouth on more than one occasion cramming that stuff in my face. |

Had the displeasure of seeing the Wall Street sequel the other night, and I shed a tear (not of joy...) having to see that little (bleep), Shia Labeouf, intertwined in a plot with Gordon Gekko. I guess (bleep) up Indiana Jones wasn't enough for him.
Also a future flag for me to step in when the ladies pick a movie to watch that they've never seen before. Can't just sit on my hands next time when we're standing on the railroad tracks. |

This was when I knew Shia lost it.
Poor guy. Another screwed up Disney star.

You should've learned this lesson earlier. It's like playing Russian roulette with completely filled chambers. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

I know, I know. But, I had a smart one over this particular night, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she'd pick the original Wall Street, not the sequel.
And yes, by "smart", I meant "smart". |
