Is pride worth just quitting a job and walking away?

Do you mean quitting and walking away to preserve it? Sort of, but with some advance planning.

Preserve the pride? I think I could do that somehow. I got to a level of frustration of just walking away and contemplating complete career change.

Typical scorpio...

Pride is valuable when it goes unsaid and unseen.

What career change do you have a mind?

As a true native Southern Californian, a simple snack of avocado on toast is one of my comfort foods.

Same here. I like to sprinkle some bacon, turkey, lettuce and cheese on mine.

No clue. Just frustrated here. Passed up for big promotion, the only means of moving up within this organization. Feel bored overall. My kind of jobs are not common, so less chance of being able to move elsewhere to do the same thing. What the other career could be I have no idea.

I am a big fan of avocados. I like that people are so into it now. I grew up with them, as we have an avocado tree in Chile. These were not a delicacy but a staple of our diets.

But lately, I've chosen to be a little more environmentally friendly by focusing on foods that come from my local area. That means no bananas and no avocados. Both those things I enjoy tremendously, but am trying to be good here.

Now, that is not to say I am not a hypocrite. I do buy foods that come from, say, Mexico, or some items from California. But I am trying to limit those. Also, buy things when in season.

In the meantime I could pay you to run into Chick Fil-A and pocket a bunch of Chick Fil-A & ranch sauce so that I no longer have to deal with any uncomfortable judgy glares by the staff.

Your wages would be 10% of however much sauce you can make away with before the manager humiliates you, bans you from the store, and makes you empty your pockets in front of an entire girls softball team. Health insurance would be covered by medi-cal. benefits: none

Seem like there is more at stake than a career change. Btw, my rates are $4.99 a/min.

Just changed mine at the end of the summer. Was fed up with the previous work and got a better position.

Sad thing, they still expect me to do some work. And check on quality. So I'm preparing for a new career change in about a month when my probation period ends and they'll sack me.

It's a beaut, that's for sure. I do the same, but I do add coarse sea salt and sriracha. For a seemingly odd but tasty treat, I do the same on a good quality raisin bread.
