Tonight's game was following the recent pattern of late. The Lakers more concerned about their offense and kinding just waiting for something to happen.

After allowing Minnesota to shoot 62% through three periods, the Lakers' 2nd unit clamped the defense down on the Timberwovles.

Allowing just 2 of 19 shots (11%) in the 4th quarter, the Lakers outsocred them 34-7 and came back from 12 down to win by 17.

Kobe Bryant returned to his leader status with 24 points and 6 rebounds, for 10 hv, a very nice 1.12 prod, and 25 eff. But he, like all the starters, were in the red tonight. And all the bench was on the plus side. The second unit played most of the 4th and lead a huge comeback.

Vladimir Radmanovic had his best game as a Laker with 17 points in 20 minutes. That gave him a 1.04 prod, a 16 eff, and a huge +33.

Maurice Evans scored 15 in his 21 minutes for .85 prod, 15 eff, and +30.

Andrew Bynum looked as he did at the start of the season with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 blocks in 26 minutes. That gave him 15 hv, .86 prod, 18 eff, and a +32.

Jordan Farmar played 18 minutes and had 6 of his 7 assists in the final period. He hit 2 of his 4 shots, had a steal, and had 10 eff and a +27.

Sasha Vujacic played the entire 4th and finised with 8 points. He had an 11 prod and was +23.

This was by far Bynum's best game since Phil demoted him to the bench. I've felt that many times he's on to a good start off the bench but Phil benches him for Brown with just 4-5 minutes played. Tonight Phil let him play past an average 3rd qtr and he proved himself in the 4th qtr.

That is why I really hope he plays more minutes. When he starts off well, I would like Phil to let him play a bit more than he is.

Thanks for the stats/numbers Pop !

How strange to see 5 players with huge plusses and 5 with moderate to large minuses...and then to look at the names.

Thanks Popcorn.
