If Webber gets waived by Phili:
1) Do u think he would consider the Lakers?
2) Would u want him to come to LA? |

Webber could recover- McDyess did and look at him now.. I think Detroit would have won the title if Brown didn't leave MeDyess on the bench at crucial times. If Philli waives him and still has to pay him, we may be able to get Webber at a reasonable price. If this is the case, lets get him plus I think he and Kobe are friends. Also, it would be great to see him kill Sacremento while playing for us at the MLE. |

No thank you. He was worthless in Phili last year. Unless he can show he's not B. Grant part 2 OR he signs for the vet. min. |

I think Webber if waived would be a great option in LA... he still owns a home in Sacromento I believe
Webber's problems in Philly amounted mostly because he was not in a structured system as good as the triangle... It was basically Iverson creating off the dribble... He never knew when he was gonna see the rock again... The guy can hit the open jumper... but that albatross of a contract would be quite a pill to swallow... |

The REAL QUESTION is would you guys welcome Horry back????
I say full Vet's min... he would be such a great mentor for some of the guys... and a good stop gap for Turiaf, Mihm, Cook or Slava to take a hold of the PF position |

Weber is an ideal 4 for the tri, even at his current diminished capacity.
I'd even go as high as the LLE to get him. But not the MLE. _________________ Jerry Buss made the Lakers into the crown jewel of the NBA. |

Some other team will offer at least the MLE for Webber- Spurs, Suns, Dallas, Minnesota, probably Seattle and Denver all teams who stand between us and the title. Webber on these teams can cause the Lakers big time problems. On these teams he can back up Duncan, Studemire, KG, Dirk, without a noticeable drop in performance. He can outright start for Seatlle or Denver. Yeah, even if we don't need Webber, we need to keep him away grom these teams. |

I would swear off the Lakers until he was gone if that were to happen. There are very few things in the world that could make me not want to be a fan. This is one of them.
You need a 4th choice for that poll: (BLEEEEEEEEEEEP) no! |

webber would be a perfect fit for the tri. webber would know he wouldnt need to be a star, or even co-star. this is lamar and kobe's team. i think c-webb would do well here. _________________ Dominating every day. |

now that Horry has opted to become a free agent, my #1 hope is that somehow we can get him back to LA, he would be great in the triangle again and hitting big shots, big rebounds, hustling....
**plus if Webber was waived, I think we oculd get him for cheap b/c he would already be making a lot of money from his contract with Phili....but im still not sure if I would want him in the LA purple and gold. |

I don't believe Philly will waive him after only half a season. he deserves a chance to see if he can work in Cheeks' offense.
But if they do waive him, I would welcome Webber. He is not a selfish player and is a vet, which I would like to see at our PF spot. Excellent tri fit with his passing, shot and skill set. He actually was having a strong season before he went to Philly. He easily would give is 16-8-4. His defense is not exceptionally strong, but he doesn't get torched often. Iwouldn't mind him holding the position until we find what we need.
Defiently give him the LLE and I would even consider the MLE. |

Sure I'd welcome Webber with open arms if Philly buys him out, he would settle for cheap if that was to happen....He would really come cheap if he and Jalen Rose were to get together ala Payton/Malone to re kindle that home golden armour,,,,,can you imagin the main catalyst from the fab 5 Michigan team playin in the Phil/Kobe triangle???
THEY WOULD FIT PERFECTLY!!!!
KOBE-----JORDAN
JALEN-----HARPER
LAMAR----PIPPEN
WEBER----HORACE
VLADE-----LONGLEY |
