After scoring 74 points in the first half and having a 21 point advantage early in the 3rd quarter, the Lakers once again squandered a big lead. They had to resort to a miraculous series of quick fouls, missed free throws, and a hoop at the buzzer just to force overtime.

Once in overtime, the turned the tables on the Kings and were the ones shooting all the free throws. And although they shot pretty badly in regulation, for the extra period they made 9-13 and got the win.

Kobe Bryant just missed a triple-double with 42 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 15 hv, 1.19 prod, 44 eff, and +7.

Brian Cook contributed a big 26 points on 10-19 shots, .92 prod, 20 eff, and +5.

Luke Walton, who fouled out with 4 minutes to play in the 4th, stood out with a +18 in addition to his 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 18 eff.

Andrew Bynum replaced Kwame Brown in the lineup and scored 15 points with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, 12 hv, .81 prod, 23 eff.

Good win, but I don't think I should have been that close. Really need to work on there defense. Way too many fouls. We have taken ourselves out of games way too many times by allowing opponents to get back in it or move ahead by shooting freethrows.

Wow, we were able to hold Kevin Martin (arguably the Kings' best player this season) to a game-worst -18! Not sure if it was KMart himself or whoever was guarding him that gets credit for that.

It was a good game, since we came out with a win. Like Kobe said, the Kings always play them tough. Mike Bibby also always seems to have a good game against the Lakers too. Mike is good, but when playing against the Lakers he looks like a superstar.
