You don't have to get a backup for Kobe's position in oreder to elongate his career. Simply rest him more and play Odom and Bynum more. Or make a move to acquire another scoring option. But it doesn't necessarrily have to be at the SG position.

Mo is a great backup for Kobe because the Lakers like to switch on D and he can guard 1-3. On offense, well, he's upped his average to 8 a game, I think that's getting the job done. He also gives teams a different look out there with his emphasis on the mid-range game. Plus he can post.

I don't know what you're looking for in a backup, but I can't think of a better backup type player of backup type money.

I think we are fine...I am over all this trade talk. Relax, let this team grow.

No, we shouldn't. Just because we hit the jackpot with Bynum, doesn't mean that we should be content. Instead of settling for a 55-60 wins team, why not try for a 65-70 wins team.

Because this team is only in its 2nd year. Bulls did not get 72 wins in 1 season...

Unless Bynum becomes a superstar overnight(even then it's questionable), 72 for this group is impossible.

72 is impossible in general
