His frame and body are just like Harper's.

He's averaging 21 ppg on .500 FG%, .400 3pt%, .900 FT%.

I dont know about his defense though.

This dude is kinda like the big guard Phil would like, he's big but still quick, clutch, shoots at high percentages.

The things is, how much would it cost to get him from the Kings? Prolly a lot, since he's arguably their best player this season...Id never give em Bynum but would sure give em Farmar...he isnt a free agent till 09, but if we could somehow trade for him (maybe a combination of expirers, a future 1st and Farmar would do it, if the Kings really are going into a fire sale on the deadline like the rumors say).

The only way the Kings consider trading Martin would be for Bynum ,and there is no way the Lakers do that.

Considering his play, he's as close to untouchable as it gets.

He would be great in the Tri, but he's the last person the Kings would let go of, and we're the last team they'd give him to.

I'd like to have Brandon Roy too. He'd be great in the Tri.

His game is nothing like Harper's. Ron was a far superior ballhandler and could create shots for both himself and his teammates. Plus, I can't exactly put my finger on why, but Martin is just irritating to look at.

But his shooting numbers certainly are absolutely phenomenal.
Just as good as Nash.

Yep. Martin is more of a Rip Hamilton type than Ron Harper. He's better at coming off screens and scoring than initiating an offense and handling the rock.

And I agree that the Kings would only trade Martin for Bynum and of course we won't do that. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings go into rebuilding mode with Martin as a centerpiece to that.

I know what you mean, I get pissed off every time I look at him. I think it's cause he always has the arrogant look on his face kinda like Cook but worse.
